Andrew Lloyd Webber Confirms New JOSEPH & THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT MovieWorld renown composer Andrew Lloyd Webber has officially confirmed a feature film adaptation of his celebrated Biblically-themed musical JOSEPH & THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT is on the fast-track for a feature film adaptation.

In an interview given last night, Lloyd Webber confirmed the news, also commenting upon recent rumors of a CATS movie musical being on the horizon, as well.

Lloyd Webber related of the JOSEPH movie musical, "Well, it's something that's been in the air for years, but basically what's happened is based on the success of the movie LES MISERABLES, that everybody is looking now at old musicals. Is there a possibility of making them again? I think there is now, there's a real possibility that CATS will happen. JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT is definitely happening."

Lloyd Webber concluded, "That's all set to be done."

Furthermore, when asked if this was an exclusive reveal of the information, Lloyd Webber countered, "Yes, I suppose it is - there's probably a confident watching me somewhere," he humorosly added.

"But that has been signed on the dotted line," Lloyd Webber asserted of the film adaptation.

Of note, JOSEPH & THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT was previously filmed in 1999 starring Donny Osmond and Maria Friedman.
