The Carlyle Hotel announces the return of its resident leading lady Elaine Stritch in "Elaine Stritch At Liberty…At The Carlyle."

For a limited three-week engagement (January 1 through January 19, 2008), Ms. Stritch (with Rob Bowman, Music Director conducting an orchestra) will present her critically-acclaimed one-woman Broadway show – in its entirety.

This musical evening traces her career, including roles in Company, The Little Foxes, Bus Stop, A Delicate Balance, Sail Away and Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?. The show received the 2002 Tony Award for Best Special Theatrical Event, as well as two Drama Desk Awards — Outstanding Solo Performance for Stritch and Outstanding Book of a Musical for Stritch and John Lahr.

"Elaine Stritch At Liberty…At the Carlyle" will play Tuesday, January 1, 2008 through Saturday, January 19, 2008 at 8PM.  There is a $125 music charge for all performances.  Dinner is required for all shows.  There will be dinner seatings at 6PM, 6:30PM and 7PM.   Like the performance at the Neil Simon Theatre on Broadway, Ms. Stritch will perform her show in two acts (dessert will be served at intermission).

The Café Carlyle is located within The Carlyle Hotel (35 East 76th Street at Madison Avenue). For reservations please call (212) 744-1600 or visit www.thecarlyle.com
