Centre Stage: Ensemble Studio Competition at Canadian Opera Company

The Centre Stage: Ensemble Studio Competition showcased the talents of young opera singers at the Canadian Opera Company's Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts. Soprano Nikan Ingabire Kanate won First Prize and the Audience Choice Award, performing "Depuis le jour" from Charpentier's Louise. Mezzo-soprano Camila Montefusco took home Second Prize, and baritone Søren Pedersen received the Erin Wall Prize, highlighting a night filled with promising performances and emotional artistry. The competition serves as both a platform for emerging talent and as a critical step towards joining the COC's Ensemble Studio training program.
