Walker has just earned a Tony nomination for the conflicted offspring of Annette Bening and Tracy Letts in All My Sons. 

Say Alex Brightman's name three times and he just might appear at Radio City Music Hall with a Tony Award in hand. The star of Beetlejuice just earned his second Tony nomination for his performance as the iconic title character and he isn't taking that honor lightly.

The 72nd Annual Tony Awards are this Sunday June 10th at 8/9c hosted by Josh Groban and Sara Bareilles. It's the biggest award show of the Broadway season and it closes out a long awards season for Broadway and Off-Broadway musicals and plays. We can't help but wonder what chances this year's Best Musical and Best Play nominees have of taking home the ultimate prize...

Broadway will gather today, June 3, to celebrate the Theatre World Awards at the Neil Simon Theatre (250 West 52nd Street), home of the sensational Broadway hit, The Cher Show.  

Oh, what a beautiful day June 9th will be for Broadway. Will everything be going Mary Testa and Daniel Fish's way? The duo represents two of eight Tony nominations that went to the much talked-about, reimagined version of the musical theatre classic, Oklahoma!

The number 13 might have an infamous reputation amongst the superstitious, but 2019 Tony nominee Beth Leavel is all about it this Tonys season. Not only has it been 13 years since since she earned her first Tony Award for her performance in The Drowsy Chaperone, but The Prom marks her 13th Broadway show.

Dill Harris is a character that the world first got to know on the page, either in or outside of the classroom. This season, Broadway favorite Gideon Glick is bringing the boy to life onstage in the nine-time Tony-nominated adaptation of To Kill a Mockingbird. 

The last time that Bertie Carvel tread the Broadway boards, it was as tyrannical headmistress Miss Trunchbull in the 2013 hit, Matilda. This season, he brings another of his critically-acclaimed West End roles to New York as media mogul Rupert Murdoch in Ink. Both roles earned the Brit Tony nominations, the latter for Best Performance from a Featured Actor in a Play.

Tootsie is bringing audiences to their feet every night at the Marquis Theatre, and its partly because of the extraordinary talents of its Tony-nominated stars. Santino Fontana, Lilli Cooper, Sarah Stiles and Andy Grotelueschen have all earned nods for their hysterical performances in the 11-time Tony-nominated hit. All four of them have been a part of the production since it opened in Chicago last year, and as they all attest, life is still far from boring at Tootsie.

The Theatre World Awards will celebrate the 2019 Theatre World Award Honorees, the 7th Annual John Willis Award for Lifetime Achievement in Theatre Honoree Nathan Lane, and the 11th Annual Dorothy Loudon Award Honoree Hampton Fluker at the landmark 75th Annual Theatre World Awards Ceremony on Monday, June 3, 2019 beginning at 7:00 p.m. at the Neil Simon Theatre (250 West 52nd Street), home of the sensational Broadway hit, The Cher Show.

Barry Glickman might be going to prom, but Brooks Ashmankas is going to the Tonys. On June 9th, the star of the seven-time Tony-nominated The Prom will take a seat at Radio City Music Hall as a nominee for Best Performance by a Leading Actor in a Musical. How did he get here?

Set to appear are Darren Criss, Tina Fey, Sutton Foster, Samuel L. Jackson, LaTanya Richardson Jackson, Regina King, Laura Linney, Audra McDonald, Ben Platt, Billy Porter, Andrew Rannells and Michael Shannon.

On June 9, as the greatest artists of the 2019 Broadway season are saluted for their outstanding work, the Tony Awards will also recognize the late, great Marin Mazzie for a lifetime of outstanding work. As BroadwayWorld previously reported, Mazzie, who passed away in September, will be honored for her advocacy and leadership within the theatre community as a brave and dedicated voice for women's health issues and organizations such as the Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation.

The 2019 Tony nominees are already winners... literally. For some, this marks their first nomination, but others have already won Tony Awards in seasons past. We took a look at which nominees have won at least a Tony or two (or nine) - amongst them, they've gathered a total of 69 awards!

Fitz Patton has won the 2019 Tony Award for Best Sound Design of a Play for CHOIR BOY.

Rob Howell has won the 2019 Tony Award for Best Scenic Design of a Play for THE FERRYMAN.

Mart Crowley has won the 2019 Tony Award for Best Revival of a Play for THE BOYS IN THE BAND.
