By: Sep. 17, 2010

WHO SAYS? Starring dancers of the iKAPA Dance Theatre plays ONE SHOW ONLY - SUNDAY 26th SEPTEMBER 2010

Tickets R60 per person

iKapa Dance Theatre has five full time professional dancers with impressive dance backgrounds and intense formal training. As part of giving the dancers exposure and a chance to showcase their talent through their work, the company launched a series of dancer's showcases which kicked off in May with Mbulelo Ngobombini.

For WHO SAYS? it is Zandile's turn to showcase her works. Zandile Constable has been dancing since the age of 11. She trained professionally with Dance4All and has also danced with Cape Town City Ballet in various productions. This young dancer has been involved in collaborative projects that afforded her international exposure when she toured with the Buskaid String Ensemble in London, Paris and New Zealand. Zandile was also the first black female leading dancer for the role in "Kami". Zandile is a founding member of iKapa Dance Theatre and has performed in festivals such as the KKNK and the Baxter Dance Festival. Her most challenging role being in "Stadium" (2009). She will be taking part in this year's Baxter Dance Festival performing Mbulelo Ngobombini's piece entitled 'pictures in my head'. Just before her showcase Zandile will be jetting off to New York to train, rehearse and perform as a guest artiste with Steps on Broadway's Contemporary dance company, Steps Ensemble.

Zandile has choreographed and will be performing a dance piece entitled WHO SAYS? - a production that will take you on a journey of an individual with split personalites and each character will be revealed and explored as the production unfolds. This showcase will display Zandile's work as a choreographer, dancer and dance teacher.

The show begins at 20h30. For theatre bookings and dinner reservations please call 021 424 1194/5 or visit our website www.onbroadway.co.za, or book through any branch of Computicket.
