If/Then Photos - US Tour

You can now get a first look at photos of the staged concert production of If/Then starring Kerry Ellis, which will now have another show on Monday 17th February.

If/Then is a musical with score by Tom Kitt and libretto by Brian Yorkey who also collaborated on the multi-award winning NEXT TO NORMAL, which laid the foundation for a major change in the American musical theatre-the development of musical dramas. If/Then is now on stage at Lakeland Civic Theatre.

When her carefully designed plans collide at the intersection of chance and choice, Elizabeth's life splits into two parallel paths. As we follow both stories simultaneously, the possibilities of tomorrow paint a deeply moving portrait of the lives that we lead, as well as the lives that we might have led.

I happened to be in D.C. on November 5, 2013 when If/Then opened its preview run. I was fortunate enough to get tickets to opening night.

Original Broadway Cast member Jackie Burns (If/Then, Wicked, Hair), Tamyra Gray (American Idol Season One Finalist, Rent), and Matthew Hydzik (Side Show, West Side Story, Grease) have joined Original Broadway Cast member Anthony Rapp (Rent, Six Degrees of Separation, You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown) and the rest of the previously announced cast in the National Tour of If/Then. The tour is now playing at the Connor Palace Theatre in Cleveland through Sunday, February 21. BroadwayWorld brings you photos of the new cast in action below!

Producer David Stone and the Nederlander Organization present the L.A. Premiere engagement of If/Then starring Tony Award-winner and Broadway superstar Idina Menzel (Wicked, Rent, Frozen, Glee), opening at Hollywood Pantages Theatre on December 8, 2015 for a limited four-week engagement through January 3, 2016.  Check out the red carpet arrivals below!

If/Then, which was named the 'Best Musical of the Year' by New York Magazine, will play its final Broadway performance Today, Sunday, March 22 at 3:00pm. Upon closing, the musical will have played 29 previews and 401 performances. Below, take a look back at the show's journey to Broadway!

Today, Actors' Equity Association named If/Then the recipient of the 'Extraordinary Excellence in Diversity on Broadway' Award for the 2013-14 theatrical season. The award honors shows that exemplify and promote the union's founding principles of diversity, inclusion and equal opportunity for all who work in the theatre. If/Then opened last week at the Richard Rodgers Theatre on Broadway, with Tony winner Idina Menzel leading the cast, which also features Anthony Rapp, LaChanze, James Snyder, Jerry Dixon,Jenn Colella, Jason Tam, Tamika Lawrence, and Jackie Burns. If/Then is a contemporary new musical that follows two distinct storylines in the life of Elizabeth, a city planner who moves back to New York to restart her life in this city of infinite possibilities. When her carefully designed plans collide with the whims of fate, Elizabeth's life splits into two parallel paths. If/Thenfollows both stories simultaneously as this modern woman faces the intersection of choice and chance.

As BroadwayWorld previously reported, MASTERWORKS BROADWAY will release the Original Broadway Cast Recording of If/Then. Produced by Steve Epstein, Tom Kitt and David Stone, the album was recorded yesterday, April 7 in anticipation of a June 3, 2014 release.
