Lewiston/Auburn Community Little Theatre is excited to announce the cast of  its upcoming production of Alan Ball's hilarious comedy 'Five Women Wearing the Same Dress'.  From the screenwriter of the Academy Award-winning film American Beauty, comes a hysterical and touching play that celebrates the bonds of womanhood. Jackie McDonald is directing, assisted by Renee Davis and produced by Cody Watson.

h Club London (formerly The Hospital Club) will welcome Los Angeles based artist and former software engineer Chris Peters to give a talk on the role of artificial intelligence (A.I.) in art, on Tuesday 11th June - doors at 7pm for a 7:30pm start.

The first PRIDE event series hosted by the 14th Street Y, LIVE FREE, LOVE FIERCE reaches across multiple Educational Alliance sites. In David Henry Hwang's play "M Butterfly" there's a few things you can take away. First there's the actual historical comparison to the real relationship between French diplomat Bernard Boursicot and Shi Pei Pu, a Peking opera singer. Second there's the cultural lesson of Westerners predilection to view Easterners in a certain, subservient light. And finally, there's the love story between a man trapped in a world and profession that used him and another man who claimed he didn't know his lover was also male. All those things should add up to a fascinating evening, unfortunately the current production at ArtsWest is told to us in such a bland and static way that the evening is just plain boring.

Award-winning artists and activists are joining forces to bring the #MeToo movement to the stage. Inspired by the women who have come forward with personal accounts of President Donald Trump's sexual harassment and assaults, "The Pussy Grabber Plays" will premiere Monday, January 14 at 9:30 p.m. at Joe's Pub at The Public Theater. An acclaimed, all-female production team will make the play available royalty-free to theaters, community groups and colleges across the country, creating a new platform for survivors of sexual abuse.

26 year old Toronto actor Hannah Engelhardt sits in a sweltering rehearsal studio just off of Pape and Danforth. Like many others, she has been acting since being dragged to her first class as a child. Today she is waiting for her cast to rehearse, as they gear up to perform at the John Candy Box Theatre in just a few short weeks. For all three members of The M Word, this will be their official introduction to the Toronto theatre scene.

A large cast of 43 students, ages 11-18 from The Marcia P. Hoffman School of the Arts will bring the school edition of Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, a tale of love and revenge to stage at Ruth Eckerd Hall on July 26-28. Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, explores the infamous story of Benjamin Barker (Sweeney Todd), a London barber with a disturbing partnership with his fellow tenant, Mrs. Lovett.
