Karriem Riggins and Madlib released “Otis' Tambourine,” the third single from their upcoming Jahari Massamba Unit album YHWH is LOVE. Driven by a tambourine, “Otis' Tambourine” sounds like astral jazz playing underwater. It pays homage to Jahari member Madlib's years of bold musical exploration into uncharted territory.
'Entering Dock X for Macbeth, you are greeted by a large, dark space filled with audience members, jazz music playing as you wait for the theatre to open. Suddenly, a siren begins to wail. This is the call to enter the theatre and audience members are greeted by scenes of destruction and soldiers staring with empty eyes at the chaos around them.'

I wish that every performance of the current production of INTO THE WOODS at The New Jewish Theatre could be seen by a sold-out house, and that they’d be forced to extend the run due to audience demand. It is just that good.
If you have read any of my LAMTA show reviews before, you’ll know that I’m an avid fangirl of their productions. And while I always rave because the raving is deserved, SPRING AWAKENING, as LAMTA’s first performance of a full-scale musical, is extra special and extra rave-worthy.
