The new Broadway season is in full swing, full of exciting new shows and revivals of beloved classics. While many of them are original concepts or based on plays, 12 have related films or series that you can watch from home. 54 BELOW will celebrate the happiest time of the year with an incredible lineup of performances by Tony winner Christine Ebersole with Billy Stritch, “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” star Darius de Haas, and more.

Mosaic Theater Company is extending the DC premiere of Andy Warhol in Iran to July 6, 2025. Written by Brent Askari and directed by Serge Seiden, this provocative, humorous portrait is a fictionalized account of the artist's infamous visit to Iran in 1976.

Ensemble Theatre Company has announced additional casting for an add-on production to its season, the world premiere of a new comedy, PARENTS IN CHAINS, written by Emmy and Peabody award-winner Jay Martel and directed by Andy Fickman.

Glenn Close and Jeremy Irons will be starring together in a comedy from Simon Curtis, the director of My Week With Marilyn and Downton Abbey: A New Era. The forthcoming comedy will center on Nigel (Irons) and Marie (Close), playing former Broadway veterans who are now living in a retirement community. When they discover the hidden talents of their fellow residents, they decide to put on a show starring Nigel and produced by Marie.

SCISSORHANDS: A Musical Tribute opened earlier this month (Dec. 1) and performs through January 14, 2024, at The Bourbon Room. The production has revealed that Lance Bass has joined Scissorhands as a producer, as the production eyes a run in NYC, London, or Toronto.
