After making a splash when it first visited the OC back in 2022, MOULIN ROUGE! - THE MUSICAL—the dazzling, Tony Award-winning 2019 Broadway stage adaptation of Baz Luhrmann's groundbreaking 2001 movie musical—is back full throttle at Segerstrom Center for the Arts in Costa Mesa for a limited week-long engagement that continues through November 2, 2025 (the show then travels an hour north to Los Angeles' Hollywood Pantages Theatre for performances running November 4-16, 2025). More impressive than before, this vibrant, high-octane, gorgeous-looking musical extravaganza continues to be an overwhelming spectacle for the senses.

Kelli O’Hara will star alongside Academy Award winner Tom Hanks in the world premiere of This World of Tomorrow, a new play by Hanks and James Glossman based on Hanks’ short stories, about a lonely scientist from the future who travels through time in search of true love.

STAGES St. Louis has announced their 40th Anniversary Season today.  Their season opens on May 30 – June 28, 2026. with the hilarious and quirky The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. The season continues July 24 – August 23, 2026, with what many consider to be the perfect musical comedy, Guys and Dolls. The season closes with the long-awaited STAGES premiere of Come From Away on September 18 – October 18, 2026.

Funny, touching, celebratory, appropriately honorable, and musically endearing, COME FROM AWAY remains an awe-inspiring theatrical testament to compassion, and will forever remind us that even in the shadow of horrific, unbelievable devastation, humanity's capacity for kindness and generosity can—and should—take center stage.

'Come From Away' chronicles the real-life experiences of the people of Gander, Newfoundland, and the almost 7,000 airline passengers who were forced to land there when US air space was closed on September 11, 2001.
