BACK TO THE FUTURE: The Musical will arrive in Houston as part of the TUTS 2025/26 Season. This live experience based on the Universal Pictures/Amblin Entertainment film comes to the Hobby Center from March 31 through April 5.

Hennepin Arts has announced the 2026-2027 Broadway on Hennepin series, bringing 12 Broadway shows to Minneapolis for 14 weeks including Tony Award Best Musical winners The Outsiders, Maybe Happy Ending and Hamilton

Dixon Place will present the prestigious Bessies award ceremony, recognizing outstanding dance and performance artists, on January 20. This event highlights the achievements in dance and provides a platform for artists to be acknowledged.

The New York Dance and Performance Awards, known as THE BESSIES, will announce the 2024 and 2025 honorees at a ceremony on January 20 at Dixon Place. This year’s nominations span choreography, performance, design, and revival categories.

Charles Kirsch is the 17-year-old host of the theater podcast Backstage Babble, where he has conducted over 250 in-depth interviews with some of Broadway’s best. In “Stage Direction,” he will be using material from the podcast and additional interviews to chronicle the career and impact of some of the most influential theater directors.

The Australian String Quartet will celebrate its 40th anniversary with BIG GIG at Adelaide Town Hall on September 28, 2025. The free, family-friendly event will include concerts, exhibitions, and interactive activities, alongside the immersive Square Circles VR artwork.

Stage Directors and Choreographers Foundation (SDCF), the not-for-profit foundation of Stage Directors and Choreographers Society (SDC), has announced the recipients of this year's Abe Burrows Award for Assistant Directors.

Second Stage Theatre’s 43rd Street off-Broadway house, right near 8th Avenue, recently changed hands and is now the home of Studio Seaview . Seaview’s first production in the space is Angry Alan, starring John Krasinski. They have renovated and updated the space since Second Stage switched off-Broadway locations to now present shows at the Signature.

The Segal Centre for Performing Arts will present Clue: On Stage, the side-splitting stage adaptation of the cult classic film and board game. This madcap mystery, directed by Segal Centre Artistic and Executive Director Lisa Rubin, runs from June 8 to 29, 2025 in the Sylvan Adams Theatre.

Andrew Lloyd Webber’s record-breaking musical CATS will be heading to Perth’s Crown Theatre in November as part of its 40th Anniversary Australian tour.

“I'll tell you what it is. It happens because of the audience,” Iris said in an interview with BroadwayWorld.com in April. “The audience is there with you, you know what I mean? The joy we give them, they give it back to us. We just keep going back and forth with them and it’s a wonderful thing. It really is.”
