On Thursday, April 9, 2026, LACAE and FYC Independents are presenting a special charity screening of the 2012 documentary Casting By, followed by a talkback featuring several influential casting professionals. 

The President just announced plans to dismiss multiple members of the Kennedy Center board. According to the Atlantic, they include Democrats Mike Donilon, Karine Jean-Pierre, and Chris Korge. He also writes that he will appoint himself chairman of the board.

The NYC Web Fest has announced that submissions are now open for its 11th annual edition. From November 8th to the 10th, 2024, creators, industry professionals, and enthusiasts from around the world will gather in the heart of New York City to celebrate the best in web series, short films, and pilot episodes.

Punk rock band Heart Attack Man have shared their new single “Like A Kennedy”, an emotional track structured around anxious guitars. Tickets across the country are selling fast, with Chicago already upgrading to a bigger room due to demand.

Starting on May 25th, Heart Attack Man will be bringing their new music on the road for the Freak Of Na-Tour. The six week run features Arm’s Length, Super American, and Photocopy. Orlando band Magnolia Park share their new track “Facedown” ahead of ‘Baku’s Revenge Deluxe.’ Extending their debut album released via Epitaph last fall and produced by Andrew Wade (A Day To Remember, Wage War), the band is adding on four bonus tracks brimming with catchy melodies and massive guitar hooks that keep fans running back for more.

Orlando band Magnolia Park are known for their genre bending talents with hip-hop and heavy influences at the forefront of their production.
