Maggie’s sick of working in hospitality. Endlessly going through the motions, day after day, in a job she’s over-qualified for but couldn’t care less about.
Joe is tormented by his memories. Thank goodness LJ’s is there, just round the corner, for him to seek solace at the bottom of a bottle.
George is just fine, thank you very much. He’s living his best life. He is, shut up.

And Oliver… well. He’s worried about his cat. If only humans could be a bit more like animals, life would be so much easier.
If you could see one day played out in the lives of several different people, all from inside their heads, would everything be the same? During a seemingly normal 24 hours, Tasting Notes, a new musical by Richard Baker and Charlie Ryall, highlights the things we don’t see when we’re not looking. Join us as we dip into the life of a wine bar; the people who serve us, the people who drink and the people we meet on our way to wherever we’re going.

Bowmore, the oldest licensed distillery on Scotland's isle of Islay, has announced the release of Bowmore 1965 Single Malt Scotch Whisky, the latest expression in the 50 Year Old Vaults Series. Bowmore 1965 has matured for 52 years at Bowmore distillery, the home of the world's oldest Scotch maturation warehouses, the No. 1 Vaults. This extended maturation period has created a rare and refined whisky with the perfect blend of complexity and elegance, exemplifying Bowmore's history spent perfecting the art of whisky maturation. Only 232 bottles of the rare Bowmore 1965 have been produced for the world and will be available as of this December with a suggested retail price of $30,000 (750ml).

The Stags Leap District Winegrowers Association (SLDWA) announced today that their highly-limited Appellation Collection will be released on October 15th, 2018. This is the only collection of this type offered to consumers. This year's Appellation Collection includes one bottle of 2015 Stags Leap District-designated Cabernet Sauvignons from the seventeen Association member wineries. Only 150 sets are available for this one-of-a-kind offering and it is only available for purchase between October 15th through December 15th, 2018.

Bird Rock Coffee Roasters announced the launch of their first ready-to-drink product, a single-origin cold brew created in collaboration with BKON, LLC. The limited release cold brew is made from green coffee beans from the family-owned Café Granja Las Esperanza's Las Margaritas farm in Colombia. The red bourbon honey processed coffee beans are from microlot #16. This week, the coffee received a score of 94 from Coffee Review, the highest scored cold brew made in Southern California.
