What Theater West End makes clear is that Kushner’s work is as much about identity, loss, and the human struggle to reconcile who we are deep down with who we present to the world.

North Shore Music Theatre has announced its upcoming season for 2026. The season will kick off with On You Feet in June. The rest of the lineup includes Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Rock of Ages, Come From Away, and Phantom. 

The Broadway classic Dreamgirls makes its Brazilian debut in a dazzling production. Directed by Gustavo Barchilon, the show captures the rise and struggles of a 1960s girl group inspired by Motown legends. Letícia Soares shines as Effie White, while Laura Castro (Deena) and Samantha Schmütz (Lorell) complete a dynamic trio. With striking sets, costumes, and a vibrant score, Dreamgirls is both a tribute to soul music’s golden era and a moving story of ambition, resilience, and identity and thrills with its energy, soul, and spectacle.

Rock of Ages a musical set on the Sunset Strip in 1987, following the story of a small-town girl and a city boy who meet while chasing their rock ‘n’ roll dreams. It is a big, brash, energetic tribute to classic rock, to over-the-top ballads and fierce guitar, to the gritty glamour and rough energy of the Sunset Strip. This jukebox musical features ‘80s hits such as “We Built this City”, “I Wanna Rock”, and “Don’t Stop Believin’”.

Jacquelyn Holland-Wright, a 30-year veteran of the Las Vegas and Broadway stages, will take time off from her leading role in the hit musical Menopause the Musical at Harrah’s on the Strip with a return on Sept. 2. She is returning to her native Hawaii to perform the role of Rose in Gypsy with production shows to benefit I’m A Bright Kid Foundation Aug. 8-24.

Axis Theater is one of the first companies in years to bring Rock of Ages-a high-energy, fan-favorite musical-back to local Orange County audiences. Performances run July 11-13 at the historic Huntington Beach HS Theater, located at 1905 Main Street, Huntington Beach, CA 92648.

Rock of Ages, Chris D'Arienzo’s jukebox musical which runs from May 2-18 at the Axelrod Theater, has had many incarnations since its 2005 Los Angeles premiere, including Broadway, the West End, and a brilliant 2012 film starring Tom Cruise.

With their recent US headline tour now wrapped and before the band heads over to continue their global domination in Europe, California’s greatest export Steel Panther is announcing the final batch of headline dates in the US as part of their On The Prowl World Tour 2024. The band return to the road in the United States on August 23 in Buffalo, NY and runs through September 14 where it wraps up in Jacksonville, NC. The 15-date trek will make stops in Hampton Beach, NH (August 24 & 25); Portland, ME (August 30); Baton Rouge, LA (September 8) and Augusta, GA (September 14) to name a few.

The band comprised of Michael Starr (Vocals), Satchel (Guitars), Stix Zadinia (Drums) and Spyder (Bass) will kick off the tour on April 18th in Omaha, NE and run through May 18th where it wraps up in San Antonio, TX.
