Rock of Ages a musical set on the Sunset Strip in 1987, following the story of a small-town girl and a city boy who meet while chasing their rock ‘n’ roll dreams. It is a big, brash, energetic tribute to classic rock, to over-the-top ballads and fierce guitar, to the gritty glamour and rough energy of the Sunset Strip. This jukebox musical features ‘80s hits such as “We Built this City”, “I Wanna Rock”, and “Don’t Stop Believin’”.

Rock of Ages, Chris D'Arienzo’s jukebox musical which runs from May 2-18 at the Axelrod Theater, has had many incarnations since its 2005 Los Angeles premiere, including Broadway, the West End, and a brilliant 2012 film starring Tom Cruise.

The 10th anniversary tour of ROCK OF AGES is getting ready to hit the road! Leading the cast are Anthony Nuccio as 'Drew Boley,' Katie LaMark as 'Sherrie Christian,' John-Michael Breen as 'Lonny,' Sam Harvey as 'Stacee Jaxx,' Ryan M. Hunt as 'Dennis,' Chris Renalds as 'Franz,' Kristina Walz as 'Regina,' Kenya Hamilton as 'Justice,' and Andrew Tebo as 'Hertz.' The tour will also feature Michael Bojtos, Emily Croft, Kyle Jurassic, Mark LaDuke, Carlina Parker, Darrell Wayne Purcell, Stephen Rochet, Zoe Unkovich, and Brenna Wahl.

In 1987 on the Sunset Strip, a small town girl met a big city rocker  in LA's most famous rock club, and they fell in love to the greatest songs of the '80s. Rock of Ages, running March 3 - April 2, 2017 in the Hawks Mainstage Theatre at Omaha Community Playhouse, is set in L.A.'s infamous Sunset Strip in 1987. It tells the story of Drew, a boy from South Detroit, and Sherrie, a small-town girl, both in L.A. to chase their dreams of making it big and falling in love. This jukebox musical was nominated for five Tony Awards, including Best Musical. It uses the hits of the 1980s to tell its story, including "Sister Christian," "We're Not Gonna Take It," "Dead or Alive," "I Want to Know What Love Is," "Here I Go Again," "Don't Stop Believing" and many more. Rock of Ages takes you back to the times of big bands with big egos playing big guitar solos and sporting even bigger hair! Contains mischievous behavior, suggestive and adult dialogue and comedic reference to drug usage.

Singer and American Idol alumni Adam Lambert attended Rock of Ages at The Venetian Las Vegas on Thursday, December 26 in order to rock out and cheer on cast member and close friend Terrance Spencer (Mayor/Ja'Keith). The two first met when they performed in WICKED together and then later, Terrance performed as a dancer on Lambert's Glam Nation tour.

On Wednesday (Dec. 18, 2013) the high-octane musical ROCK OF AGES celebrated its first anniversary in Las Vegas at The Venetian Las Vegas. Following the conclusion of the performance, cast member Mark Shunock ("Lonny") addressed the full house to thank them for their support of ROCK OF AGES and then he led the cast in a celebratory shot to mark the occasion. After the performance, the company hosted a '80s themed after party at Insert Coin(s) in Downtown Las Vegas.

Rikki Rockett, the drummer for Poison, whose songs are performed in ROCK OF AGES saw the show on November 6th, and visited the cast afterwards.

Rapper, singer/songwriter and actor Snoop Dogg (aka Snoop Lion) attended ROCK OF AGES at The Venetian Las Vegas on Sunday. Snoop watched the outrageously fun musical and then went backstage to meet and greet with the cast and take photos. Celebrating 26 years of service to Southern Nevada's HIV/AIDS community, Golden Rainbow presented its annual "Ribbon of Life" fundraising production at The Smith Center for the Performing Arts on Sunday, June 24. Approximately 1,630 attendees filled the breathtaking Reynolds Hall as 380 performers from the best Strip shows and entertainment companies took the stage in the fight against HIV/AIDS.
