The New-York Historical Society will present the 2022 History Makers Award to opera superstar, arts innovator, and civic leader Anthony Roth Costanzo for his achievements in the performing arts and for his activism. The gala will take place on October 6, 2022, at New-York Historical’s Central Park West home. Pam Schafler, chair emerita of New-York Historical’s Board of Trustees, will be honored with the 1804 Founders Medal for Distinguished Service. Renowned historian and Pulitzer prize-winning author Jon Meacham will deliver the keynote address.

As Always, Jimmy Stewart is set to play at Theatre West on Saturday, July 9th at 8pm and Sunday, July 10th at 3pm. Theatre West is located at 3333 Cahuenga Blvd. West, in Los Angeles, CA 90068. The show is written by Steve Nevil and Ted Snyder, directed by Ted Snyder, and produced by Dina Morrone for Theatre West. Tickets are $35 in advance or $40 at the door. On Thursday evening, the Clearwater City Council selected Ruth Eckerd Hall to operate the amphitheater in downtown Clearwater. The council vote was based on three exclusive criteria that could be considered:  Demonstrated experience of company and personnel; Project methodology, approach and schedule; and References. The vote was 3 to 2, with two council members choosing the partnership of Global Spectrum d/b/a OVG360 and Vinik Sports Group.

On Thursday night, MJ the Musical had a very special guest in the audience. Stevie Wonder attended the musical in celebration of his 72nd birthday, which was on May 13th. The cast of the Tony nominated musical serenaded the legend by singing, 'Happy Birthday.' Wonder also went backstage to meet and greet the cast. Watch the CBS New York video below!
