MPAC’s 28th season gears up this October and November as a diverse lineup of artists get set to take the stage including Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue, the magic of The Illusionists, The Rascals, and popular children’s shows Peppa Pig, Baby Shark, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and more.

Drury Lane Theatre will continue its 2022/2023 season with the holiday classic Elf-the Musical, based upon the film written by David Berenbaum. Book by Thomas Meehan and Bob Martin, music by Matthew Skylar, lyrics by Chad Beguelin. Directed by Lynne Kurdziel-Formato. Elf-the Musical runs November 9, 2022 – January 8, 2023, at Drury Lane Theatre.

The Sound of Music, one of the most beloved musicals of all time, has enchanted audiences for more than 50 years. This holiday season, Chicago audiences can experience this unforgettable Rodgers and Hammerstein classic for the first time, or all over again, at downtown Aurora’s Paramount Theatre. Previews start November 9, 2022.

NETworks Presentations has announced casting for the 2022 national tour of ELF THE MUSICAL, which will launch November 5 in Paducah, KY, and visit twelve U.S. cities throughout the holiday season.

TheaterWorks Hartford will open its 2022-2023 season with Fun Home. The cast for Fun Home includes Broadway veterans Aaron Lazar as Bruce, Christiane Noll as Helen, and Sarah Beth Pfeifer.

The Prom is a musical comedy about big Broadway stars on a mission to change the world and the love they discover that unites them all. The show makes its Kansas City debut at Starlight Theatre September 13-18 as part of the AdventHealth Broadway Series.

Leapin’ Lizards! The full cast and creative team has been announced for the all-new tour of the iconic Tony Award®-winning musical ANNIE. In the title role of Annie is Ellie Pulsifer, a 12-year-old actress from South Florida, making her tour debut. 

Actors Theatre of Indiana has announced casting for the first show in their 2022-2023 season – NUNSENSE: A musical. 

Paper Mill Playhouse has announced casting for On Your Feet! The Story of Emilio & Gloria Estefan, the first production of Paper Mill’s 2022-2023 season. The production will feature Linedy Genao (On Your Feet! on Broadway) as Gloria, and Brandon Espinoza (Broadway’s SpongeBob SquarePants) as Emilio.

ELLA: An American Miracle, a new musical written by Anna Deavere Smith (Twilight: Los Angeles, 1992 and Notes From The Field) and featuring music from the Ella Fitzgerald songbook, is currently in development, with an upcoming work session held from August 25-September 21 to conclude with a private industry presentation.

Single tickets for nine shows in the Fabulous Fox Theatre’s 2022 – 2023 U.S. Bank Broadway Series will go on sale Tuesday, September 6 at 10:00 a.m. CT. TDF is presenting their 11th season of Autism Friendly Performances for individuals on the autism spectrum or with other developmental or cognitive disabilities. The season begins on Sunday, October 2 at 1 p.m. with The Lion King.

The award-winning, hit show Stranger Sings! The Parody Musical, has announced the complete cast and creative team for the Off-Broadway return this fall. Playhouse 46 at St. Luke’s will be transported into satirized versions of Hawkins, Indiana, and the Upside Down, with performances set to begin on Monday, September 12th.
