The Broadway and national tour casts of Aladdin came together to perform 'Friend Like Me' during Disney's Christmas Day Parade. Michael James Scott, who plays the Genie on Broadway, led the performance, joined by Adi Roy, who plays the title role in the national tour. Watch the video now!

Mikayla Renfrow, who is currently in the ensemble of Aladdin and understudying the role of Jasmine, took to TikTok to share a story of how an airline went above and beyond to get her to the theatre on time when she was called last-minute into her understudy track.

Last week, the North American tour of Disney’s ALADDIN gave its first knock-out performance in Vancouver! With its dazzling dance numbers supported by a plethora of special effects, the show did not hold back on any aspect from start to finish. The show played Vancouver’s Queen Elizabeth Theatre from July 25th to July 20th.

Aladdin will begin performances in San Francisco at BroadwaySF’s Orpheum Theatre on Wednesday, August 2 for a limited engagement through Sunday, August 13.

Brad Weinstock, who stars in Aladdin on Broadway in the role of Omar, will appear as a contestant on Jeopardy tonight. Weinstock made his Broadway debut in Aladdin in 2016. He has also appeared in national tours of Jersey Boys (Frankie Valli) and Wicked (Boq), and the Chicago production of The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (Chip).

The audience follows Aladdin on a journey from street rat to Prince Ali of Ababwa. He believes now that he is a prince, Princess Jasmine will fall in love with him (Senzel Ahmady). What he does not understand is she would love him simply for who he was, not because he was a prince. The musical was incredibly entertaining for audiences of all ages.

Disney’s hit musical Aladdin will welcome Sonya Balsara to the company as Jasmine beginning Thursday, January 19. Aladdin marks Balsara’s Broadway debut, though she played the role on Broadway for several weeks last fall.

Full casting has been announced for the North American tour of Disney's Aladdin. The production will feature Adi Roy (Aladdin), Marcus M. Martin (Genie), Senzel Ahmady (Jasmine), Anand Nagraj (Jafar), Aaron Choi (Iago), Sorab Wadia (Sultan), Ben Chavez (Omar), Jake Letts (Babkak), Colt Prattes (Kassim), Dwelvan David (Standby Genie, Jafar & Sultan) and J. Andrew Speas (Standby Genie, Sultan & Babkak).

Disney Theatrical Productions, under the direction of Thomas Schumacher, has released full casting for the eagerly-anticipated North American tour of Disney’s Aladdin.
