Seattle Center 2010 Festivals and Events Guide Now Available

By: Feb. 11, 2010

A new publication hit the streets this week that highlights the multitude of festivals and public events presented at Seattle Center through the year. Seattle Center 2010 Festivals and Events Guide chronologically lists and describes numerous events and attractions, including the 22 Seattle Center Festál celebrations, five major festivals, campus amenities and more.

The Festival and Events Guide is an important component of a new marketing campaign, Live at Seattle Center, launched in 2009 to call attention to the depth and diversity of entertainment offerings on the campus. The publication will remain in circulation for the entire year so that Seattle residents and visitors alike may learn about the outstanding entertainment options available to them.

"The guide represents an important step in our capacity to promote the remarkable array of events and activities that attract the community to Seattle Center," stated Seattle Center Director Robert Nellams. "The booklet really illustrates how active Seattle Center remains the whole year round."
The guide displays a foundational look appearing on all Seattle Center promotional and advertising materials this year. Filled with vibrant colors and dynamic action, the innovative graphics serve to evoke the spirit and energy of the activities the booklet describes.

Users will find write-ups on youth events, such as Giant Magnet; Global Attractions Playing Locally and Seattle Center Whirligig; community gatherings like Artspring! World Rhythm Festival, Naturalization Ceremony and Seattle Tattoo Expo; and public programming series such as KEXP & Seattle Center Present Concerts at the Mural, Seattle Center Movies at the Mural and Winterfest. There is also information on renting campus facilities, KeyArena, Marion Oliver McCaw Hall and other arts and attractions.

This is not meant as an exhaustive list of activities, but rather a reference to some of the established events presented at Seattle Center each year. For information on individual events at KeyArena, McCaw Hall and other campus venues, please visit www.seattlecenter.com. or call 206 684-7200.
