Artists Repertory Theatre Announces its 2022/23 Season

The line-up of plays includes provocative work, new to the Portland stages as well as a co-production with Portland Center Stage @ The Armory (PCS). This season, produced in the Ellyn Bye Studio at PCS, will mark the last season ART is “on tour,” as ART plans to move into their newly renovated space in the fall of 2023. This season offers patrons a vibrant mix of poetic and exhilarating stories that will surely delight frequent theatre goers and new ones alike.

Based upon newspaper accounts, Nancy did have a scow (something that resembles a barge today) that built a main cabin and an upper deck to entertain men while floating on the Willamette River.  What happened during her reign on the Willamette is now being told!
INDUSTRY Partners With OHSU Doernbecher Hospital To Co-Create Custom Alebrijes Inspired By Mexican Folk Art

This spring, leading Portland branding agency, INDUSTRY is raising money for OHSU Doernbecher Children's Hospital with 'The Amino Project' - a collaboration between INDUSTRY's Industrial Design team and Indigenous Chicano artist Tekpatl. The team worked together to create 3D-printed and hand-painted Animo toys inspired by Doernbecher kids. Industry will host a virtual drawing for the Aminos from May 2nd to 10th, via the online platform RallyUp. Each entry is $5, and all proceeds will support the incredible work of Doernbecher. Drawing entries for each Animo can be purchased HERE.

RENT Runs May 21-July 10 At Portland Center Stage

Jonathan Larson's Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning rock musical Rent takes over Portland Center Stage hot off its 25th anniversary. Rent will be directed by PCS's Associate Artistic Director Chip Miller. It begins previews on May 21, opens on May 27, and runs through July 10 on the U.S. Bank Main Stage. The production, originally slated to run through June 26, has already been extended due to strong ticket sales.

Bridgetown Conservatory of Musical Theatre has announced the cast of its May 2022 in-person live production of The Theory of Relativity, by Neil Bartram and Brian Hill. The production will take place May 19 through May 22, 2022 in Bridgetown's new Black Box Theatre. After postponing the production in 2020, and again in 2021, Bridgetown has high hopes for a successful third try.
