HADESTOWN celebrated a milestone achievement last evening as the musical’s Original Broadway Cast Recording was officially certified Gold. Check out photos and video of the celebration.

Toronto's production of Disney's The Lion King is so huge that it has taken over an entire school during rehearsals. Original Hadestown cast member Eva Noblezada played her final performance as 'Eurydice' on Sunday, August 13, 2023. Noblezada began playing the role in 2018 at London’s National Theatre before transferring with the production to Broadway in 2019. Check out a video of her final bow, plus speeches from castmates, here!

A new clip from the Broadway Rising documentary has released a new clip featuring producer Kevin McCollum. The video features footage from McCollum's offices as general tickets go on sale for SIX and Doubtfire on May 10, 2021 after it was announced that Broadway would be reopening after the COVID-19 pandemic.

The new documentary Broadway Rising documents the Broadway community's journey through the pandemic: from the almost overnight shut down, to the paths essential theater workers took on their road back to the stage. Happy Holidays from Broadway Sessions! Our Annual All-Star Holiday Show this past Thursday the 19th was such a joyous occasion. Belting, tapping, singalongs and laughing- oh my! Our All-Star lineup included Paige Davis (Chicago, Trading Spaces), Patrick Page (Hadestown) Jewelle Blackman (Hadestown), Max Chernin (Sunday in The Park), Rhaamell Burke-Missouri (King Kong), Hernando Umana (School of Rock), Nicole Vanessa Ortiz (Smokey Joe's Cafe), Riza Takahashi (Mean Girls), Gianna Yanelli (Mean Girls), Jessica Juanich (Bat Out Of Hell), Imari Hardon (Avenue Q), Robert Mantano (Radio City Christmas Spectacular), Eric Sebek (Radio City Christmas Spectacular), The Honey Taps, Colleen Harris, Michael Kirk Lane, Katryna Marttala, and Anthony Fett. 

This year's opening number was a sparkling celebration of the more than 200 actors making their Broadway debuts this season. The performance featured 60 newcomers, from a bevy of Broadway's brightest children to adults stepping into the spotlight. Featured performers included Jewelle Blackman and Yvette Gonzalez-Nacer (Hadestown), Clinton Greenspan (Aladdin), Gizel Jiménez (Wicked), Jeigh Madjus (Moulin Rouge! The Musical), Reneé Rapp (Mean Girls) and Marissa Rosen (Kristin Chenoweth: For The Girls). The full-hearted number, which received a standing ovation, was written by Michael Liscio Jr. and Jed Resnick, and directed and choreographed by Richard J. Hinds.
