The Broadway cast of Aladdin began rehearsals this week for the company’s reopening later this month. As previously announced, Aladdin will resume performances on Tuesday, September 28 at the New Amsterdam Theatre.

With an all-star cast including Meryl Streep, James Corden, Kerry Washington, Andrew Rannells, Nicole Kidman, Keegan Michael Key, Ariana DeBose and Jo Ellen Pellman, the highly-anticipated film is an adaptation of the 2018 Broadway musical of the same name.

Today we rewind to 2015, when Something Rotten! was rehearsing for Broadway. Something Rotten! ran for 708 performances at the St. James Theatre. Directed and choreographed by Casey Nicholaw, it starred Christian Borle, Brian d'Arcy James, Heidi Blickenstaff, John Cariani, Brad Oscar, Kate Reinders and Brooks Ashmanskas.

We give you a sneak peek at the Broadway musical 'The Drowsy Chaperone', which welcomed back to Broadway, Tony Award winner Sutton Foster and introduced us all to Bob Martin as Man in Chair. We also met the cast of Mark St. Germain's play, 'The God Committee', but the episode starts at the opening night of Roundabout's production of Joe Orton's comedy 'Entertaining Mr. Sloane' which featured a stellar cast including Chris Carmack, Alex Baldwin and the late great Jan Maxwell, whom Richard Ridge says, 'was one of the greatest actresses of her generation'.

Trujillo is celebrated for his stunning talent in matching steps to character and story in such musicals as Jersey Boys, Memphis, On Your Feet! and Ain't Too Proud for which he won the 2019 Tony Award.
