The 20th anniversary production of AVENUE Q has extended its limited run at London's Shaftesbury Theatre, with Kevin McCollum and Jamie Wilson Productions citing popular demand.

The Museum of Broadway has revealed its next special exhibit will celebrate the Craft of Broadway Puppetry. The exhibit, produced with the American Theater for Puppetry Arts and the Broadway Legacy Foundation, will open to the public in May.

You Do You Theatre Co.'s production of AVENUE Q at Theater STOK in Zurich has sold out its entire run, marking the company's third consecutive sellout. A waiting list is available via email for last-minute cancellations.

The puppet show pumped full of profanity is back. Jason Moore's outrageous Avenue Q premiered in the West End two decades ago, bringing issues such as racism, the housing crisis and youth identity crisis to the stage in a unique and incredibly clever format. Oh yes, and there is explicit puppet sex too.

In honor of the Wicked movie, online creator Ricky Downes III has released a new parody video of the Muppets singing the musical. In a new video, the Muppets perform their own rendition of songs like 'Defying Gravity' and 'For Good.'

Back by popular demand, the hit musical Avenue Q will return to The GEM Theatre in Garden Grove, running September 4 through October 12, 2025. The official opening is set for Saturday, September 6, 2025, with a pre-show gala at 6:30 p.m. and an 8:00 p.m. curtain.

I'm a millennial, and a nerd. Of course I love Avenue Q. It reminds me of seventh through ninth grade, when the nascent internet first started spreading clips of the music from this 'raunchy puppet show on Broadway.'

Avenue Q is being performed by a new Grand Rapids Group, Making its Grand Rapids debut. National Broadway Theatre is a non-profit, which pays actors for their work, a first for West Michigan and one of few in the state.  We have a Professional Opera Company, a Professional Symphony/ Chorus, and a Professional Ballet, just no professional paid local theatre outside of the tours that come through town.  We have a great group of community theatre in the West Michigan area and the founder wanted to bring something new to the area and make a place where actors could be compensated for their art.    Avenue Q currently playing through Sunday, Dec 1st, 2024 at Ambrosia Theater.
