Following critically acclaimed, sold-out engagements in the UK, the reimagined 50th Anniversary tour of JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR will come to Seattle from Tuesday, October 5 through Sunday, October 10.

For five decades, the story of Jesus has been sweeping the globe in Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice's iconic rock opera, Jesus Christ Superstar, and now, Midland Center for the Arts is highlighting the relevancy of this centuries old story for Center Stage Theatre's first production of the Center's 50th Anniversary Celebration Season.

The two-week return engagement at Playhouse Square will begin Friday, October 1, 2021.

The Jennie T. Anderson Theatre is back with live, in-theatre shows, starting with CHESS in concert on July 24th. Directed by Lilliangina Quiñones, Artistic Director Jono Davis mentioned in the program that this show came together in just seven days for one night only. A part of the theatre's Overture Series, CHESS has actually been in progress since 2019, but was delayed due to the pandemic.

To mark the 50th anniversary of the 1970 concept double album, Jesus Christ Superstar, it has today been announced that a variety of special anniversary edition albums will be released on September 17th.

After closing down with the rest of the West End last year, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat comes back to the Palladium starring Theatreland’s sweetheart Jac Yarrow as the title character, Alexandra Burke as the exhilarating Narrator, and Jason Donovan - who’s graduated to Pharaoh after playing Joseph in the early 90s.

BroadwayWorld has a first look at Theatre Orb in Japan's production of JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR in concert. The production began performances on July 12th, with the official opening set for July 15th. The production will run through July 27th.

Last night the West End revival of Tim Rice & Andrew Lloyd Webber's Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat played to a full capacity audience at the London Palladium for the very first time, having begun socially distanced previews at the iconic venue on 12 July.

In addition to its six-play membership season, the Montgomery County institution returns with an equally busy schedule of concerts, special productions, presentations, and even more curated programming to build off of the success of its summer series: Olney Outdoors.

Due to popular demand, Florida Theatrical Association has added an additional performance of CHESS in Concert at The MEZZ in downtown Orlando. The added performance on Tuesday, August 24 at 7pm extends the show's run to August 22 – 24.

Nearly seventeen months have passed since the Jennie T. Anderson Theatre has packed its house with an indoor event. With the reopening of venues around the nation, the Anderson Theatre is celebrating its return to form with CHESS, a concert which has not been seen in Atlanta in over twenty years.
