Primed to chase away the winter doldrums, Ohio Contemporary Ballet (OCB) returns to the University of Akron’s E. J. Thomas Hall on Saturday, February 28, 2026, with Ballet Unbound*. The mixed repertory program will showcase four diverse dance works, including two premieres.  

Ohio Contemporary Ballet will present Ballet Unbound at EJ Thomas Hall, showcasing a blend of classical and contemporary dance styles. This performance marks a significant return to the venue, highlighting the company's innovative approach to ballet.

​Playhouse Square will present a diverse lineup this February, including comedy, dance, music, theatrical performances and more, including the national tours of Suffs and The Music Man.

Throughout January and February, the company will host three distinguished choreographers—Nycole Ray, Avree Walker, and Gordon Peirce Schmidt—in its Cleveland studios.

Meredith Willson's THE MUSIC MAN will hit the road on a National Tour in 2026, helmed by director Matt Lenz. The tour will star Nicholas Carroll and Elizabeth D'Aiuto.

STOMP, the international percussion sensation, will return to Akron for two performances only, April 22–23, 2026, at E.J. Thomas Hall. The production is presented by Playhouse Square in partnership with The University of Akron. Tickets will go on sale Tuesday, November 11.
