BWW Review: THE AMBER TRAP, Theatre503
by Charlie Wilks - Apr 30, 2019

In an ordinary part of the north, Hope and Katie work at their local corner shop. Life is pretty good for them; they know their routine and are happy with it. For Katie, the shop is a safe place for her to be herself; for her to be open with her love for Hope, away from judgement and other people's passing comments.

Guest Blog: Tabitha Mortiboy On THE AMBER TRAP
by Marianka Swain - Apr 10, 2019

I started writing The Amber Trap over two years ago while I was living in Brighton in a little flat by the sea. I knew that I wanted to write a story which uncovered some of the labyrinthine power structures that exist between men and women; a story that studied the way the male gaze treats women, and how the low-level aggressions that so many women are subjected to each day can mutate into acts of violence engendered by a deep-set, structural misogyny.

Full Cast Announced For Damsel Productions World Premiere Of Tabitha Mortiboy's THE AMBER TRAP
by Rebecca Russo - Mar 27, 2019

Hannah Hauer-King and Kitty Wordsworth co-founded Damsel Productions in 2015 to place women's voices centre stage. Damsel Productions hopes to be one cog in a larger and crucial movement addressing both the misrepresentation and under-representation of women in theatre. The idea is simple: to bring together women directors, producers, designers and all other creatives to breathe life into scripts exclusively written by women. Damsel Productions aim to provoke, inspire and entertain with true and honest representations of the female experience. Critically successful productions include the UK premiere of Ruby Rae Spiegel's Dry Land (Jermyn Street Theatre), Izzy Tennyson's Brute (Soho Theatre), Phoebe Eclair-Powell's Fury (Soho Theatre), Izzy Tennyson's Grotty (The Bunker) and Abi Zakarian's Fabric (Soho Theatre & London community centre Tour). Damsel also recently produced London's first ever all women directing festival Damsel Develops at The Bunker.

SWINDLE and Kojey Radical Release Video for 'Coming Home'
by Kaitlin Milligan - Jan 7, 2019

Swindle and Kojey Radical have released a new video for 'Coming Home'. Fronted by Kojey with a comedic flair, he leads a playful tour through its many scene changes, gradually stripping away his different layers of stardom. Swindle, meanwhile, takes his typically low-key approach: tying things together in the background, he makes various cameo appearances throughout, fixing up mic stands and setting the scene.

BWW Review: The Judson Theatre Company's LOVE, LOSS, AND WHAT I WORE Celebrates Sisterhood and Unity
by Lauren Van Hemert - Oct 27, 2018

LOVE, LOSS, AND WHAT I WORE by Nora Ephron and Delia Ephron explores the complex relationships women have with their shoes, purses, bras, weight, Madonna, their sisters, and their mothers. Based on the book by Ilene Beckerman, the play opened off-Broadway at the Westside Theater in 2009 after a limited run of staged readings to benefit Dress for Success. It closed The Judson Theatre Company's seventh season last week. The parade of well-known actresses who've performed in LOVE, LOSS, AND WHAT I WORE reads like a who's who and includes Jane Lynch, Carol Kane, Brooke Shields, Rosie O'Donnell, Tyne Daly, Samantha Bee, Parker Posey, and Kristin Wiig. The Judson Theatre's cast too featured some well-known names, including two-time Emmy Award-winner Sally Struthers, who previously starred in the show at The Geffen Playhouse, Kim Coles, who is best known for her role on 'Living Single,' and stage veteran Joyce Reehling. Rounding out the cast were newcomers Ashley Brooke and Olivia Rose Barresi.

His fears are validated when his father's ghost spurs him to avenge his untimely death. Hamlet takes up the mantle of vengeance with single-minded focus, sacrificing relationships along the way.
