Cheyenne Jackson has signed on to play 'Hudson' in William J. Stribling's upcoming feature film Bear with Us, which stars Christy Romano, Mark Sullivan, Alex McKenna, Kevin Carolan, and Collin Smith, and features Alice Ripley.

DPAC announced today that individual tickets for the Triangle premiere of Dirty Dancing - The Classic Story On Stage will go on sale June 28 at 10 a.m. Tickets are available at the DPAC Ticket Center or by visiting DPACnc.com and Ticketmaster. The staged musical of this worldwide smash-hit film will play DPAC September 16-21, 2014.

The Producers Guild of America (PGA) and Cadillac are pleased to announce the mentors for the Make Your Markcompetition– a short film competition open to producers across the country. Marvel has had a difficult time moving forward with their Ant-Man project. They first lost director Edgar Wright, who put in 8 years of work on the film. Adam McKay was the runner-up; however, he recently declined. After much searching, Marvel has hired Peyton Reed as the new director of Ant-Man.

Celebrating its 50th anniversary of saluting the greatest talents in world cinema, The Chicago International Film Festival will honor Academy Award-winning actor Kevin Kline with a Career Achievement Award on Saturday, June 28 at the Four Seasons Hotel, 120 E. Adam McKay was in talks with Marvel to direct the upcoming Ant-Man movie. McKay would have replaced Edgar Wright who recently left the project due to artistic differences. Since Marvel wants to keep their July 2015 release date, they've been trying to replace Wright as quickly as possible. However, McKay suddenly backed out of the project.

The studio confirmed the news today, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Wright co-wrote the script with Joe Cornish, and has been with the project since its initial development in 2006.

Carole Simpson, a former newscaster for both ABC and NBC alongside Barbara Walters, was not included among the 25 female journalists influenced by Walters who appeared in her send-off episode of THE VIEW on Friday, May 16.

To celebrate the O'Neill's 50th anniversary and influence, The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts will present Launchpad of the American Theater: The O'Neill Since 1964, a new free multimedia exhibition on display in the Vincent Astor Gallery May 17 through September 16, 2014. The exhibition will chart the journey of American theater at the O'Neill from its past to present and future, and explore the creative development of its playwrights, composers, students, puppeteers and performers.
