Kim McLean, who recently released a book of devotions and an album of songs written with Country Music Hall of Fame member Loretta Lynn, will be the featured guest. Kim will perform and tell stories behind some of the songs from A Song & A Prayer and others she’s written for artists like Tim McGraw, Trisha Yearwood, and Lee Ann Womack.

Country Sunshine: The Legendary Ladies of Nashville With Katie Deal, which the Milwaukee Repertory Theater delivers gems of country classics from legends ranging from Loretta Lynn and Patsy Cline to Shania Twain.

Cline is most remembered for being larger than life, with velvety vocals that betrayed her no-nonsense persona. She has been celebrated, covered, or cited as an influence by a diverse array of artists across the musical spectrum Cat Power, Elvis Costello, Kacey Musgraves, Margo Price, Lana Del Rey, Linda Ronstadt, Lucinda Williams, to mention a few.

Nancy Sinatra, the eldest daughter of Frank Sinatra, has released a new album, Keep Walkin’: Singles, Demos & Rarities 1965-1978, which features previously unreleased music. One of the songs on the album is 'Do I Hear a Waltz?' by Richard Rodgers and Stephen Sondheim, from the musical of the same name. Listen to the song here!

Though he has switched from radio to videography (you know....video killed the radio star- Trevor Horn, Geoff Downes and Bruce Woolley ca. 1979), Sharpe has a lot of history when it comes to Arkansas entertainment. Broadway World’s favorite MC Blake Woodson sat down with Sharpe to reminisce about all of the Rockstars he has met over the years, but first we wanted to know how he got into videography.

Two of my favorite things to do are listening to my talented friends play great music and eating delicious food in super cool restaurants. I mean....I have to treat myself sometimes, right? Of course, I do, and that is exactly what I did when 2Country4Nashville, made up of Jo-el and LeAnne Ulmer, played at JJ’s Grill Fort Smith last weekend. It was a perfect combination for a perfect Saturday night.

It’s been over 60 years since the late Loretta Lynn first rose to stardom, transforming from a coal miner’s daughter to the Queen of Country Music. Loretta knew she was blessed—to record music, to sing her songs to such great crowds, and to write books. Her final offering, A Song and A Prayer, is a collection of prayers combined with song lyrics.

Written by Ted Swindley, this trio of women, along with their band, will charm and delight you from now through April 22, with songs from artists like Dolly Parton, Tanya Tucker, Pam Tillis, and many others. Bring your appetite and follow the girls as they leave their familiar lives behind to chase their dreams in Music City.

Shelly Fairchild and Shamir share a life-giving cover of Loretta Lynn’s rousing country classic “Fist City,” out now on Kill Rock Stars Nashville. The video was shot at Loretta Lynn's Ranch in Hurricane Mills, TN. In true southern fashion, Fairchild met the passing of the Queen of Country with a wily piano riff and therapeutic humor.
