Broadway Sessions w/ Ben D is thrilled to welcome Bret Shuford and Emily McNamara January 27th.
Bret Shuford can currently be seen on Broadway in Disney's The Little Mermaid( Prince Eric understudy). Mr. Shufords other Broadway credits included Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and Beauty and the Beast. Bret has appeared in several Actors Fund benefit performances including The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas.
Emily McNamara created the role of 'Inga' in the Off-Broadway hit The Awesome 80's Prom. She has also appeared in My First Time at New World Stages. The popular comedian/singer/actress was the winner of 'XL Star' and has appeared in Broadway Loves the 80's at Joe's Pub.
Broadway Sessions w/ Ben D is described as an evening of music, games and comedy featuring a new Broadway guest each week. It is hosted by actor Ben Cameron (Aida, Footloose, Wicked). The weekly show takes place Tuesday evenings at midtown nightclub Therapy (348 west 52nd street) at 11 pm. There is no cover charge for this event. Attendess must be 21 or over with proper id. Composer and lyricist Scott Alan returned to Birdland on January 12th for a concert featuring a starry line-up of Broadway performers. The January 12th performance featured selections from Alan's debut CD, 'Dreaming Wide Awake' and his recently released CD 'Keys.'

Jamie McGonnigal and Joe's Pub presented 'Broadway Loves the 80's Vol. 4,' on Sunday September 7th, the concert featured your favorite Broadway stars singing their favorite hits of the awesomest decade ever! Directed by McGonnigal and Xanadu's Marty Thomas, 'Broadway Loves the 80's Vol. 4' continued the fun of having those 80's classics performed by Broadway's best! The totally rad host of the past three concerts, Mo Rocca (Spelling Bee, VH1's I Love the 80s) took a break from his round-the-clock political convention coverage, to return for this 4th incarnation.

The Awesome 80s Prom, the celebrated off-Broadway smash hit, now in its fourth year, has recouped its investment, becoming a rare Off-Broadway success story, has launched productions across the US. While New York audiences continue to party like it's 1989 at the famed nightclub, Webster Hall, it has also enjoyed runs in Minneapolis, Baltimore, and Chicago. And, The Awesome 80s Prom is now available for licensing; it has already been performed at many community theaters and high schools across the country.
