Broadway and TV's Todd Buonopane (B'way: Cinderella, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, TV: 30 Rock) will join the lineup of singers for Gregory Jacobs-Roseman: I Hate Cake, A Birthday Cabaret at The Green Room 42 on Saturday, May 30th, 2026 at 9:30pm.

Todd Buonopane is an actor, singer, director, story-teller, cabaret artist, host, teacher & musical theater nerd! He has starred in four Broadway shows: The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Grease, Chicago and Cinderella. On television, he has guest starred on many fan favorites such as Grey's Anatomy and The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt and was featured as one of 30 Rock's most memorable recurring characters: Jeffrey Weinerslav. Todd has traveled the U.S. with The Play That Goes Wrong, Chicago, and Godspell. (With Chicago, he's taken his Amos to Tokyo, Osaka, Seoul and Dubai). Todd is a renowned cabaret artistic and has performed in all the great cabaret spaces of New York City, Los Angeles and Provincetown. His cabarets include Lying in the Driveway & Other Stories, All Washed Up, Songs That Made Us Gay, Single & Loving It and Lady Songs.

Another year older, award-winning musical theatre composer-lyricist Gregory Jacobs-Roseman (Save The Date) unwraps brand new music at The Green Room 42 for a one-night-only birthday concert of world-premiere songs!

Join Gregory Jacobs-Roseman and a lineup of sensational singers for an evening of new musical theatre — featuring songs from shows currently in development, cabaret standalones, resurrected trunk tunes, and possibly a premature Christmas number or two. With humor, heart, and the occasional existential spiral, Gregory's songs explore love, friendship, midlife plot twists, and the audacity of hope. Come join the party for a joyful night of exciting new music!

The concert will feature special guests: Tony Award nominee Stephanie D'Abruzzo (Avenue Q, I Love You Because, TV: Scrubs (episode: “My Musical”)) and 14-time MAC Award winner Natalie Douglas (theAtrainplays, Sloane: A Jazz Singer (documentary)).

The full lineup of singers will include: Michael Buchanan (Book of Mormon, The Addams Family, Cry Baby), Todd Buonopane (Cinderella, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, TV: 30 Rock), Tom Holcomb (Archduke (Roundabout), Aristocrats (Irish Rep), We Are Continuous (Williamstown)), Emily McNamara (A Musical About Star Wars, NEWSical The Musical, The Awesome 80's Prom), Mia Pinero (Sweeney Todd, West Side Story, Lend Me a Soprano), Courter Simmons (Jersey Boys, Tartuffe (NYTW), also appears as Cacophony Daniels), DeAnne Stewart (Jagged Little Pill, Beautiful: the Carole King Musical), and Noah Zachary (The Lucky Star (59e59), Poster Boy (Williamstown), Save The Date (FringeNYC)).

The evening will feature music direction by Mark Hartman (Sondheim On Sondheim, Avenue Q, 2022 Drama Desk nominee, three-time MAC Award winner and Backstage Bistro Award for Music Direction).

Gregory Jacobs-Roseman is a musical theatre composer-lyricist and librettist living in New York City. His musical Save The Date, for which he wrote book, music, and lyrics, had its world premiere production in the New York International Fringe Festival where it was awarded the Overall Excellence Award for a Musical. His revues Cold Turkey, Party Like Me, and Hungover for the Holidays have been performed at venues across New York City. Other full-length musicals include: Chase (with composer Russell Stern), Auld Lang Syne, Class Of, Brainstorm, and Letters To Santa, which is currently in development. His songs have been performed at the Goodspeed Opera House, at Barrington Stage, as part of William Finn's revue: Ridiculously Talented Composers and Lyricists You Probably Don't Know But Should, at the Adirondack Theatre Festival, and more. Gregory is a MAC Award-nominated composer. He holds a B.A. in Musical Theatre from Emerson College in Boston, and an M.F.A. in Musical Theatre Writing from NYU. He was trained in musical composition at the Berklee College of Music in Boston. Greg is a member of the Dramatists Guild of America.
