The Critics' Circle has announced the nominations for the 2026 Theatre Awards, highlighting outstanding theatrical achievements.

The OffWestEnd Awards (Offies) have revealed their 2026 nominations, highlighting the best in independent theatre. The awards showcase a range of emerging and established talent in the Off-West End scene.

The American premiere of KENREX, the critically acclaimed thriller by Olivier Award nominee Jack Holden and Ed Stambollouian, based on an astonishing true story, will take place this Spring at the Lucille Lortel Theatre.

An ominous small town tension, the lingering fear that something rotten lies beneath the wholesome community spirit, pervades KENREX, which transfers to London after an acclaimed Sheffield Theatres run.

After successful runs in Sheffield and London, Kenrex is arriving at The Other Palace in December. The show, written by Jack Holden and Ed Stambollouian with music by John Patrick Elliott, tells the tale of Ken Rex McElroy, a criminal who faced the consequences of his actions at the hands of the townspeople of Skidmore, Missouri in 1981. Holden takes on all of the roles, with Elliott accompanying with live music on stage as well.

The true crime genre has already provided one bona fide London smash this year in the sublime Kenrex but Łukasz Twarkowski takes a very different approach with this four-hour-long opus.

The acclaimed true crime thriller KENREX transfers to The Other Palace for a Christmas season, running 3 December 2025 – 1 February 2026. Starring Jack Holden and featuring live Americana music by John Patrick Elliott.
