Huntington Theatre Company will present the North American tour of the acclaimed musical comedy, Spamilton: An American Parody from February 12 through March 10, 2019 at the Calderwood Pavilion at the BCA. The tour launched at Playhouse Square in Cleveland, OH on December 20, 2018 and is now on tour across the country, playing ten multi-week engagements in its first season.

The Public Theater announced initial casting today for the world premiere of WHITE NOISE, written by Public Theater Master Writer Chair and Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Suzan-Lori Parks.

Due to overwhelming demand, Thomas Kail, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Jon Steingart and Jill Furman announced today that the highly-anticipated return engagement of FREESTYLE LOVE SUPREME, which sold-out quickly last month, has been able to add four additional performances to the strictly limited run at the Greenwich House Theater, 27 Barrow Street. In addition, a TodayTix lottery for 15 tickets a performance will be offered during the five-week run to help fans get tickets.

This morning, Film Independent announced the nominations for the 2019 Film Independent Spirit Awards. The Spirit Awards are the primary fundraiser for Film Independent's year-round programs, which cultivate the careers of emerging filmmakers and promote diversity in the industry. Film Independent President Josh Welsh presided over the press conference held at the W Hotel in Hollywood, with actors Gemma Chan and Molly Shannon presenting the nominations. ESPN announced today a 20-hour, 10-part documentary 'Basketball: A Love Story' from Peabody Award-winning director Dan Klores. The sweeping project, which consists of more than 60 interconnected 'short stories,' will be available across multiple ESPN platforms in a variety of viewing experiences. Klores has created a vibrant mosaic of the game, featuring 165 exclusive interviews. The cast encompasses basketball's most prominent figures, from Bob Cousy, LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Dr. J, Yao Ming, Stephen Curry and Diana Taurasi, to Magic Johnson, Oscar Robertson, Bill Russell, Larry Bird, Chris Paul and Kobe Bryant. Klores' short stories explore the complex nature of love as it relates to the game and opens the window to insights and perspectives about race, politics, media, art, business, style and entertainment. Iddo Goldberg has joined the cast of Snowpiercer as a series regular, According to Deadline. The show is an adaptation of Jacques Lob's graphic novel Le Transperceneige and the 2013 Snowpiercer movie.

Netflix has boarded all-new futuristic action thriller Snowpiercer. Through a deal with ITV Studios Global Entertainment, Netflix will premiere the series co-produced by Tomorrow Studios and Studio T to its members globally outside of the U.S. and China in 2019.
