Abrons Arts Center presents the world premiere of Minor Theater's PATHETIC, a teen-drama riff on Racine's Phedre. PATHETIC marks the much- anticipated return of Minor Theater to Abrons Arts Center after 2017's sold-out horror hit, THE TERRIFYING. OBIE Award-winning playwright Julia Jarcho directs this take on the classic tragedy of female desire. The Tony Award winning Oregon Shakespeare Festival (OSF) will launch its 84th year and Bill Rauch's final season as artistic director with preview performances beginning on March 1. The 2019 season officially kicks off Friday night, March 8, in the Angus Bowmer Theatre with Shakespeare's As You Like It (director, Rosa Joshi). On Saturday afternoon, Cambodian Rock Band (director, Chay Yew) opens in the Thomas Theatre, and Hairspray The Broadway Musical (director, Christopher Liam Moore) opens that evening in the Angus Bowmer Theatre. On Sunday afternoon, the drama by Southern Oregon based playwright Octavio Solis, Mother Road (director, Bill Rauch), will see its world premiere in the Angus Bowmer Theatre.

The World Premiere is directed by Melissa Crespo with Opening Night slated for January 19. The limited run features a gender bending cast of 7 actors who have numerous Broadway and Off-Broadway credits.

Eclipses Group Theater New York (EGTNY) will be staging the world premiere of 'Hercules: In Search of a Hero.' This new show is conceived and directed by Ioanna Katsarou, translated by Demetri Bonaros, with original compositions by Costas Baltazanis. Florida Repertory Theatre is pleased to announce the opening of "A Christmas Carol: The Tale of Ebenezer Scrooge," a world premiere adaptation of the Dickens classic written and directed by Mark Shanahan. Playing November 30-December 19 in the Historic Arcade Theatre, the run includes four nearly sold out preview performances November 27-29.
