On the verge of celebrating their tenth anniversary season, Three Brothers Theatre of Waukegan, Illinois has announced their cohort of playwrights for a year-long virtual residency of new work development. The residency was created to support living playwrights in the process of creating new plays.

The Factory Theater, presenting Lane Call: A NIght of Closing, June 16 - July 22, has announced its 29th anniversary season of world premieres including Chase Wheaton-Werle's Wise Guys: The First Christmas Story, November 3 - December 16; Michael Jones's Party At The Pantheon: A Modern Greek Stoner Comedy, February 9 - March 23, 2024 and Kirk Pynchon and Mike Beyer's Die Hard 4 Your Luv, May 31 - July 13, 2024.

Written by Mike Beyer and Kirk Pynchon, creators of the Factory hit Hey! Dancin'!, bring the only known tribute to Cleveland in the history of American theater to the Factory this winter, directed by Kim Boler. Six directors and 30 actors from the Chicago theatre community will collaborate to create staged readings of six new feminist plays in the Artemisia Fall Festival 2018, to be performed September 24-26 and October 1-3 at The Edge Theater at 5451 N. Broadway. Artemisia Founding Artistic Director Julie Proudfoot and Literary Manager Sharai Bohannon have curated the festival from submissions solicited from writers, agents and literary managers across the US with whom the company has had working professional relationships. One play from the six to be performed will be chosen for further development by Artemisia Artistic Director Proudfoot, who will work closely with the playwright over the next two years to develop their feminist story for a full production in Chicago.
