Back in the 1970’s Monty Python’s Flying circus was a sensation with their irreverent and risqué observational comedy. If you couldn’t recite the week’s show the next day, you were ‘square.’

STAGES St. Louis founder Jack Lane may need to clear space on his mantle for additional hardware. This morning, when the Society of London Theatre announced their 2026 nominations for the Olivier Awards, Lane became a first time Olivier nominee. Two of his productions, Evita and The Producers picked up nominations for Best Revival of a Musical.

THE CRUCIBLE To Be Presented By Maryland Ensemble Theatre In Frederick

Maryland Ensemble Theatre will present THE CRUCIBLE by Arthur Miller from April 3 through April 26 on the MET Mainstage in downtown Frederick, Maryland. Directed by Julie Herber, the production revisits Miller’s 1953 drama set during the Salem witch trials of 1692.

All proceeds from the event will support ongoing programs and student outreach at the Palm Springs Art Museum.

THE GRADUATE, Desert Theatreworks’ current farce, which also contains elements of heavy drama, is, in my opinion, a must-see, both because of the writing and because of DTW’s casting, acting, directing, and staging.
