Today's episode features Broadway's Alex Boniello, who fell into theatre unconventionally. 'When I was in 5th grade, I started gravitating towards Blink-182 and Green Day. For my twelfth birthday I asked my parents for a guitar, which I think came as a surprise,' he said. 'They got me into lessons and it went very well very quickly... and I still did the usual things and played sports and stuff like that... but things started changing.'
Broadway favorite, Alex Boniello, most recently seen on stage in the Tony Award-winning Dear Evan Hansen, just released his debut EP, titled “Hi,” written during his last few months of the musical. With COVID-19 changing the state of our world and the theater community, this catalog is extremely relevant for the times that we are currently in as a collective. In addition to the EP, a music video for one of Boniello’s songs, 'I'm So Tired,' has been released. The video, directed by his former Dear Evan Hansen co-star Gabrielle Carrubba, can be viewed on YouTube.

Alex Boniello recently released an original song entitled Pigeons. Alex had begun working on a full length EP after he wrapped his two year run in Dear Evan Hansen, but the stay-at-home orders amidst the Covid-19 pandemic took him and his collaborators out of the studio to focus on the safety of themselves and loved ones.
