MOULIN ROUGE! THE MUSICAL Cancels May 14th and 15th Performances Due to Covid Within Cast

Today and tomorrow's performances of Broadway's smash hit Moulin Rouge! The Musical have been cancelled. An Instagram story post from the show's official account broke the news. The notice reads, 'Due to positive COVID cases in the company, performances today and tomorrow of Moulin Rouge! The Musical on Broadway are cancelled.'

Yesterday evening, Saturday, May 7th, the cast of MOULIN ROUGE! THE MUSICAL celebrated a milestone achievement with their 500th performance. The show, which opened on Broadway in July of 2019, currently plays are the Al Hirschfeld Theatre. The Tony Award-winning Best Musical also announced a partnership with the New York City Department of Education to distribute 500 tickets to NYC area schools. Students will get to experience the production at various performances over the next year. Get the full story here. 

Drummer, Vocalist, and Composer Releases Track from Upcoming LP, "I Believe"

Today, drummer, vocalist, and composer Bryan Carter released his rendition of the Burt Bacharach & Carol Beyer Seger-penned composition “Making Love.” The song is the third single from Carter’s upcoming LP I Believe, due out June 2022 via La Reserve Records. “It was, and will always be, a very special song to me” Carter told Jazziz. Listen to “Making Love” by Bryan Carter. 

Casts Announced for AIN'T MISBEHAVIN' and ANDY WARHOL IN IRAN at BSC

Barrington Stage Company has announced casting for the first two shows of its 2022 season: the 1978 Tony Award-winning Best Musical Ain’t Misbehavin’: The Fats Waller Musical Show, and the world premiere play, Andy Warhol in Iran by Brent Askari (BSC’s American Underground) which opens the St. Germain Stage from June 2-25.

Ashley Loren, Derek Klena, Declan Bennett, and More to Join MOULIN ROUGE! THE MUSICAL

Producers Carmen Pavlovic and Bill Damaschke announced today that Ashley Loren, Tony Award nominee Derek Klena, Declan Bennett and Caleb Marshall-Villarreal will lead the Broadway cast of the Tony Award-winning Best Musical Moulin Rouge! The Musical beginning Tuesday, May 10, 2022, at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre.

Joe Iconis Announces New 44-Track Record, ALBUM, Featuring Andrew Rannells, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Krysta Rodriguez, and More!

GHOSTLIGHT RECORDS announced the new recording by musical theater virtuoso Joe Iconis, a sprawling new 44-track album, simply titled Album. Find out the release information and all of the stars and Iconis vets on the album. The album features over 70 members of Iconis’ vast family of collaborators including Aaron Tveit, Andrew Rannells, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Krysta Rodriguez, Kerry Butler, Danny Burstein, Annie Golden, George Salazar, Will Roland, Andrew Barth Feldman and many more.

After going to New York for my winter break, my mom and I decided to return to see more musicals during my Spring Break. We once again did not have much of a plan for what to do while we were there but knew that we wanted to see Hadestown once again.
