Terra C. MacLeod

Terra C. MacLeod is a Broadway actor with an international career spanning Broadway, London’s West End, national tours, and major productions across North America, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. Most recently, she starred as Marlene Dietrich in Piaf/Dietrich A Legendary Affair at Grand Theatre to critical acclaim, with reviewers praising her precision, authenticity, and commanding stage presence, as well as her ability to embody Dietrich’s elegance, authority, and emotional depth.

Terra is internationally recognized for her portrayal of Velma Kelly in Chicago, a role she has performed on Broadway, London’s West End, national tours, and major international productions. She was also the Original Velma Kelly in the world French premiere of Chicago in Montreal, Quebec, before transferring with the production to Casino de Paris in Paris, where the production received a nomination for a Molière Awards. Over the course of her long-standing association with the celebrated musical, she has helped launch and lead multiple companies worldwide, bringing her signature interpretation of Velma to audiences across North America, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. Her enduring connection to the production reflects both her artistic authority and her stewardship of one of musical theatre’s most iconic leading roles.

Her recent performances in the 2025 Quebec French revival of Chicago starring Véronic DiCaire once again drew critical acclaim, with reviewers highlighting her magnetism, charisma, and commanding presence onstage.

In addition to her performance career, Terra has expanded her work into directing, choreography, and artist development. Known for her movement-driven approach to storytelling, she brings a refined physical language and strong dramaturgical sensibility to both the stage and rehearsal room. Recent creative leadership credits include directing the final production of Footloose for Norwegian Cruise Line’s Broadway Series fleet, choreographing Come from Away at Indiana Repertory Theatre in co-production with Syracuse Stage, and serving as Assistant Director on Chicago at Moonlight Stage Productions.
