BIO
Ryan-James (RJ) Hatanaka is a Canadian television, film and theater actor. He is known for his role as Detective Abe Tamura in the CW series Nancy Drew, Dr. Evan Wallace in the NBC series Nurses, and Gabriel Kinslow in the Hallmark series When Hope Calls.
His theater credits include Shakespeare in the Park's production of 'King Lear' co-starring John Lithgow and Annette Bening, 'Big Love' and 'The Sandbox' at New York's Signature Theatre, and 'Romeo & Juliet' at The Guthrie Theater. He has been the spokesperson for HBO Europe since 2016.

Hallmark Channel announces scheduling additions to its September schedule which has been extended to give Hallmark Channel faithful a special one-time only airing of the first two episodes of streaming Original Series, 'When Hope Calls,' spinoff of 'When Calls the Heart,' Hallmark Channel's longest-running Original Series. 'When Hope Calls' has received enthusiastic praise from critics and viewers alike and has signups to Crown Media Family Network's new streaming service, Hallmark Movies Now, surging. Hallmark Channel also announces a Special Encore Presentation of 'All of My Heart: The Wedding,' starring Lacey Chabert and Brennan Elliott on Saturday, September 28 (9 p.m. ET/PT, 8c), which includes all-new, sneak peek interstitials of the network's new FALL lineup.

But one thing that is as true in 2017 as it was back in the 16th century, is that audiences love a good comedy. And that is why William Shakespeare's THE COMEDY OF ERRORS, now playing at Hartford Stage, still works, still gets laughs, and still ultimately entertains almost 500 years since its debut.
