In honor of Signature’s 25th Anniversary, Signature Plays revisits the work of three Legacy playwrights with Edward Albee’s The Sandbox, Maria Irene Fornes’ Drowning, and Adrienne Kennedy’s Funnyhouse of a Negro. Directed by Lila Neugebauer (A.R. Gurney’s The Wayside Motor Inn), this trio of plays, all produced during their author’s original Playwright-in-Residence season, celebrates Signature’s rich and diverse history over the past quarter century.

Center Players presents Meet the Oakleys, an original historical play at historic Oakley Farms on Saturday, March 18th at 2pm and 5pm. The historical dramatization is produced in partnership with the Heritage Arts Program of the Freehold Township Heritage Society and will serve as a fundraiser to benefit the nonprofit missions of Center Players and Oakley Farm.

New Yiddish Rep's Yiddish-language production of 'The Labor of Life' by the late Israeli playwright Hanoch Levin, which is playing through January 26 at the Rep's Rose and Cyrus Feldman Studio Theater, 315 W. 39 Street (9 fl.), will be presented in Montreal February 16 for two performances at La Vitrola, 4602 Boul St-Laurent, Montréal, QC H2T 1R3, Canada. The theater, which seats 150, is expected to draw from the Montreal Jewish community and Yiddish-speakers including the KlezKanada crowd and Dora Wasserman Yiddish Theater crowd. It will be a production of New Yiddish Rep in association with Art Against Humanity and Bardak Productions. Translator is Eli Rosen and director is Gera Sandler. The piece will be performed with projected English supertitles.

Mosaic Theater Company Of DC Presents SOONER/LATER: A Comedy About Life And Love And Loss by A.A. Cristi - May 1, 2019

Mosaic Theater Company of DC presents the DC premiere of Sooner/Later, a romantic comedy about life and love and loss. Written by local DC playwright, Allyson Currin, Sooner/Later is part of Locally Grown Mosaic, an in-house program to nurture local, DC artists through commissions, new play development, and full productions. Originally produced at Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park in 2018, the play has received a first-ever "completion commission" from Mosaic to continue its refinement as the first official production of the Trish Vradenburg Play Commission. Now set in DC, the play is underwritten by the Vradenburg Foundation's George Vradenburg in memory of his wife, playwright and screenwriter, Trish Vradenburg. The commission ensures that women's voices will be at the forefront of Mosaic's seasonal offerings and will continue to distinguish Washington DC as a home for innovative and groundbreaking theater.
