BIO

Robert Fox is a British theatre, film, and television producer known for his successful productions in the West End and on Broadway. Born in 1952, Fox grew up in a family of theatre producers and was exposed to the industry from a young age. He attended the University of Sussex and graduated with a degree in English Literature.



Fox began his career in theatre production in the 1980s, working as an assistant to his uncle, theatre producer Sir Cameron Mackintosh. He quickly rose through the ranks and became a producer in his own right, producing his first show in 1984. Since then, he has produced over 40 productions in London's West End and on Broadway.

Fox has worked on a number of successful productions, including the West End productions of "The History Boys," "The Pillowman," and "The Ferryman." He has also produced several Broadway shows, including "The Pillowman," "Mary Stuart," and "The Ferryman." In 2019, he produced the Broadway revival of "The Rose Tattoo," starring Marisa Tomei.

In addition to his work in theatre, Fox has also produced several films, including "The Hours," "Notes on a Scandal," and "The Aeronauts." He has been nominated for several Academy Awards for his film work, including Best Picture for "The Hours."

Fox is known for his ability to bring together talented creative teams and cast members. He has worked with some of the biggest names in theatre, film, and television, including Daniel Radcliffe, Ian McKellen, Cate Blanchett, and Nicole Kidman. He has also collaborated with some of the most talented directors and writers in the industry, including Stephen Daldry, Martin McDonagh, and Tom Stoppard.

Fox's productions have received critical acclaim and numerous awards. "The History Boys" won six Tony Awards, including Best Play, and "The Ferryman" won the Olivier Award for Best New Play in 2018. His film work has also been recognized, with "The Hours" winning the Academy Award for Best Actress for Nicole Kidman.

Despite his success, Fox remains humble and dedicated to his craft. He is known for his attention to detail and his commitment to producing high-quality productions. He is also committed to supporting new talent and has worked with several emerging writers and directors over the years.

In addition to his work in the entertainment industry, Fox is also a philanthropist and supports several charitable organizations. He is a trustee of the Old Vic Theatre and is involved with several other theatre-related charities.
