New Jersey Performing Arts Center will present the depth and joy of Indian classic music with Zakir Hussain, Tabla with Sabir Khan, Sarangi Debopriya Chatterjee, Bansuri with two performances on Saturday, April 26, 2025 at 3:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.

They will make their way to the west coast for the first time since 2022 with additional multi-night performances in Portland, Seattle, Berkeley, and Los Angeles Find out when and where the band will be performing near you! The event will celebrate the Grateful Dead songbook featuring two nights of curated collaborations themed “Dead Ahead” with Bobby Weir, Mickey Hart, Jeff Chimenti, Oteil Burbridge, Don Was & Jay Lane featuring Derek Trucks, Susan Tedeschi, Rick Mitarotonda, Margo Price and very special guest Sturgill Simpson.

On June 22, 1991, the Grateful Dead made their debut at Soldier Field in Chicago. Start-to-finish footage from the concert will be screened at The Park Theatre in Jaffrey, NH, on June 22 and 28, both at 6:30 pm.

Symphony Space will welcome Sunny Jain (Red Baraat), one of the city’s most acclaimed, versatile musicians, for a residency in which he’ll perform three projects he has developed, each with its own themes, musical genres, and lineup of collaborators.

DEAD & COMPANY is launching its 2023 summer tour on Friday, May 19th and Saturday, May 20th in Los Angeles. The band - Mickey Hart, Bill Kreutzmann, John Mayer, and Bob Weir, with Oteil Burbridge and Jeff Chimenti – will perform two sets of music drawing from the Grateful Dead’s historic catalog of songs.

On Friday, September 9th, 2022 at 7:30PM, Medeski Martin & Wood's Billy Martin -- a long-time Bergen County resident -- will perform a solo set utilizing percussion instruments, found objects, voice, flutes, bird calls, and more at The Black Box Performing Arts Center.

Recorded on a 16-track machine by noted Dead engineers Betty Cantor, Janet Furman, Bob Matthews, Rosie (McGee), and Wizard (the team which also recorded the Dead’s classic Europe ’72 performances), these tapes were mixed by current Grateful Dead engineer Jeffrey Norman and mastered by Grammy®-winner David Glasser.

Grammy-winning supergroup Planet Drum is gearing up for two New York area shows, on August 5th and 6th at the Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, New York.  Planet Drum is Mickey Hart (USA),  Zakir Hussain (India), Giovanni Hidalgo (Puerto Rico) and Sikiru Adepoju (Nigeria).

Bobby Weir & Wolf Bros, consisting of Weir, Don Was, Jay Lane and Jeff Chimenti featuring The Wolfpack, a string and brass quintet, along with Barry Sless on pedal steel, are currently on a spring tour which started at The Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, TN and will end with two nights at Radio City Music Hall in New York City.

Zakir Hussain, Kala Ramnath, and Jayanthi Kumaresh have come together for the first time as leading Indian classical exponents of their respective instruments—tabla, violin, and Saraswati veena—for the Triveni tour.

Jonah Hill has been announced to play Jerry Garcia in Martin Scorsese's upcoming Grateful Dead film for Apple. The Dead’s Bob Weir, Phil Lesh, Mickey Hart and Bill Kreutzmann will executive produce the film, reportedly giving Apple the right to use their music catalogue in the film.

Lynn Needle, former Nikolais Dance Theatre soloist, will appear on the United Solo Festival in her 'Six Solos - Legend, Myth and Nature,' a one hour, six solo, presentation that features works by seminal choreographers Alwin Nikolais (1953) and Claudia Gitelman (1978), along with dances by Ms. Needle that exemplify the German school of modern dance and its evolution.
