Matt Leisy is currently playing Raoul, Vicomte de Chagny, on the World Tour of THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA. Recent credits include the critically acclaimed SWEENEY TODD at the Barrow Street Theatre and the Broadway First National Tour of A GENTLEMAN'S GUIDE TO LOVE & MURDER where he played Monty Navarro at such theatres as the Kennedy Center in DC, the Ahmanson Theatre in LA and The Princess of Wales Theatre in Toronto. Other credits include Younger Brother in RAGTIME, Richard Hannay in THE 39 STEPS, Leonard Vole in WITNESS FOR THE PROSECUTION at Bristol Riverside Theatre, Ken in RED at Clarence Brown Theatre, Matt (the Boy) in the long running Off-Broadway production of THE FANTASTICKS, the PBS broadcast production of CAROUSEL at Lincoln Center, Algernon in THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING EARNEST at Arizona Theatre Company, Mr. Bingley in PRIDE AND PREJUDICE at Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park, Young Scrooge in A CHRISTMAS CAROL at the Alabama Shakespeare Festival and Scripps in THE HISTORY BOYS at the Repertory Theatre of St. Louis and the Arden Theatre (Barrymore Nomination). www.mattleisy.com. @mattleisy

On May 13, 2025, this timeless masterpiece's haunting love story and hypnotizing musicality returned to a packed house in the 2,183-seat The Sands Theatre, Marina Bay Sands.

Now being performed at the Kauffman Center and concluding this weekend is a wonderful rendition by the Lyric Opera of Kansas City of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s final composition together, “The Sound of Music” This production is as good as it gets. Framed by massive settings by Peter J. Davison and glorious costumes by Alex Valasek, “Sound of Music” is the incredible, mostly true tale of the Von Trapp family singers and their escape from the Nazis taken from the Matriarch Maria Von Trapp’s 1949 memoir.
