BIO
Kat Yen is a Taiwanese-American theater director, born and raised in NYC. She has directed at Atlantic Theater Company, Ars Nova, and The Bushwick Starr, amongst others. Recent productions include Heart Strings by Lee Cataluna, Happy Life by Kathy Ng, Marisol by José Rivera, and The Juniors by Noah Diaz. Kat is the inaugural Directing Fellow at La Jolla Playhouse, a former Resident Director at The Flea Theater, a past Van Lier Directing Fellow at Second Stage Theater and the co-founder and former Artistic Director of Spookfish Theatre Company.
