Outside New York City, it is Connecticut that has almost an embarrassment of riches when it comes to theater. Forty years ago, a group of actors, writers and directors, including Keir Dullea and his late wife Susie Fuller, founded Theatre Artists Workshop as a place where they could experiment and cultivate new works, hone their skills, and work with their peers in a place that is safe from the glare of the public spotlight.

What did our critic think of GRUMPY OLD MEN: THE MUSICAL at Elmont Library Theatre?

Plaza's Broadway Long Island, Nassau County's Only Professional Theatre in residence at the State-of-the Art Elmont Library Theatre, has announced the cast and creative team for their upcoming production of Grumpy Old Men. Performances begin on Saturday, November 19 and runs through Sunday, December 4.

Fasten your seat belt, it’s going to be a grumpy ride! The iconic Alhambra Theater & Dining will produce the hit musical-comedy, Grumpy Old Men: The Musical.  and run through September 25.

Riverside Center for the Performing Arts will welcome back live theatre accompanied with meal service with the Regional Premiere of Grumpy Old Men: The Musical live onstage from July 21 through September 5!

Tomorrow, Broadway Records will release of the world premiere recording of GRUMPY OLD MEN, the new musical by Dan Remmes, Neil Berg and Nick Meglin. While we await the release, check out 'Life Is All About Livin'', featuring Hal Linden, Eric Jon Mahlum, Blake Hammond!

Theatre Artists Workshop's annual fundraising performance will be presented virtually and will feature original and reimagined works written, directed, and performed by Workshop Members. This virtual event is in place of TAW's annual spring & fall festivals, which were cancelled due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The romantic comedy Grumpy Old Men first came to life as a film in 1993 starring Jack Lemon, Walter Matthau, and Ann-Margret. With book by Dan Remmes, music by Neil Berg, and lyrics by Nick Meglin, Grumpy Old Men was adapted to the stage as a musical described by critics as 'unconventional but sincerely sweet' (Leo Buck at buckingtrends.me). Dutch Apple Dinner Theatre takes on this delightful story of friendship and love February 20-March 28. Miranda Jane plays the role of Ariel, Max and John's beautiful and eccentric neighbor.
