Christopher Kriz is an award winning composer and sound designer based in Chicago. Recent credits include Relentless (Goodman Theatre), The Reclamation Of Madison Hemings (Indiana Repertory Theatre), and Freedom Rider (Alabama Shakespeare Festival, Crossroads Theatre). Chicago credits include designs with Steppenwolf, Chicago Shakespeare, Goodman, Court Theatre, Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Writers Theatre, Northlight Theatre, Remy Bumppo, Victory Gardens, and many others. Regional design credits include Seattle Repertory Theatre, Indiana Shakespeare, Kansas City Repertory, Alabama Shakespeare Festival, Montana Shakespeare, Crossroads Theatre, Theatre Squared and many summer seasons at Peninsula Players. The season will open with Bruce Norris’ Tony, Olivier and Pulitzer Prize-winning “Clybourne Park,” directed by Kurt Naebig (Sept. 8 – Oct. 9).  It will be followed by Alan Ayckbourn’s feisty holiday comedy, “Season’s Greetings,” directed by Connie Canaday Howard (Nov. 17 – Dec. 18). With a nod to the Cleve Carney Museum of Art/MAC summer 2023 exhibition “Warhol,” BTE will complete the season with Vince Melocchi’s fictional play “Andy Warhol’s Tomato” directed by Steve Scott (Feb. 2 – March 5).

Raven's revival of this later play by Tennessee Williams that was 'rediscovered' in acclaimed productions in London and New York is an autobiographical play that Williams first began writing around the time he started The Glass Menagerie. It concerns a young writer who in 1938 moves to a ramshackle French Quarter rooming house that's home to an assortment of desperate and eccentric characters. The New York Times said Vieux Carre is, along with The Glass Menagerie, Williams' other autobiographical memory play, one of two 'critical bookends' to Williams' career.
