Blayze Teicher served as the Resident Director of the Off-Broadway immersive show TRAINSPOTTING LIVE and as Artistic Associate/Resident Director of The Parsnip Ship, a podcast series of new plays paired with live music. Credits include THE VIRTUOUS FALL OF THE GIRLS FROM OUR LADY OF SORROWS by Gina Femia (Spicy Witch Productions/The Flea), MOSES by Grace Connolly & Ronete Levenson (HERE), THE VALKYRIES by Jessica Owens (The Tank), THE DIPLOMATS by Nelson Diaz-Marcano (Winner: Outstanding Direction, Fresh Fruit Festival, Downtown Urban Arts Festival), and MOTHER KNOWS BEST (New Light Theatre Project/Access Theater), Development credits include Alexander Sage Oyen's A NIGHT LIKE THIS (F/54 Below), Andrew Rincón's I WANNA FUCK LIKE ROMEO AND JULIET (The Parsnip Ship), Andrew Rincón's THE LONELY (Amios), and Grace Jordan's THE ESCAPE (The Playwriting Collective). As a filmmaker, her work has screened across the country, including Out on Film Atlanta and the Palm Springs LGBT Film Festival, and has been featured on Huffington Post, Broadway World TV, and Funny or Die. She directed the original series INTERESTED IN, now streaming on Amazon Prime channel Dekkoo. She has produced for The Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute and Poetic Theatre Productions and has assisted Schele Wiliams (ASCAP), Portia Krieger (2ST Uptown, NYMF), Ilana Ransom Toeplitz, Lauren Keating, and Sarna Lapine. New Trish Harnetiaux Play Set for Run At The Lee Strasberg Institute


A new dark comedy by Trish Harnetiaux (Tin Cat Shoes, How to Get into Buildings) and directed by Olivia Songer (SEEDS Resident Director, Rough Magic Theatre Company) will play The Imra Sandrey Theatre at The Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute (115 East 15th Street) on Thursday May 9, Friday May 10, & Saturday May 11. Harnetiaux is the recipient of The Clifford Odets Ensemble Play Commission, an annual playwriting commission designed to serve large ensembles of emerging actors.

A good time was had by all at Bowery Arts & Science, 310 Bowery (at First Street), in NY on Monday night, May 14 as the annual Fresh Fruit Awards were celebrated. Writer/performer, Lisa Kron and activist, Allen Roskoff, were honored with Community Service awards prior to a cavalcade of accolades for some powerful and enlightening works by new as well as established artists. Three pieces that took home multiple awards were the musical, La Maupin, the political dramedy, The Diplomats, and the semi-autobiographical play, The Phillie trilogy, which was a tour de force for several acclaimed performers.
