Ben Lewis was an Australian actor and singer whose career has spanned stage and screen in Australia and the United Kingdom. He began his professional theatre career with productions including The Windows Project, Odyssey, Urinetown, Priscilla, Queen of the Desert, Spamalot, A Little Night's Music, Metro Street, and A Midsummer Night's Dream.
Lewis is best known for portraying the Phantom in Love Never Dies, originating the role in Australia from 2011 to 2012 before reprising it in the filmed production released by Universal Pictures. He later starred as the Phantom in the West End production of The Phantom of the Opera from 2017 to 2018. His additional theatre credits include Candide, Thérèse Raquin, Forbidden Broadway, Devilish!, Love Me Tender, Annie Get Your Gun, Company, and The Bodyguard, which toured the UK, Ireland, and Japan.
On screen, Lewis has appeared in the Australian television series McLeod's Daughters, the BBC dramas Doctors and EastEnders, the web series Cyanide and Happiness Shorts, and television specials including Carols by Candlelight and Side by Side by Sondheim.
He passed away in 2025.
