ARIANA VALDES [she/they] is a New York City based Cuban-American multi-hyphenate AEA actor, talent development manager and arts educator, who previously served as Artistic Director of the Ensign-Darling Vocal Fellowship - New Voices, a vocal scholarship and talent development program at The Bushnell Center for the Performing Arts in Hartford, CT. At The Bushnell, Ariana directed and conceptualized several showcase concert performances for the Ensign-Darling Fellows, including a professionally filmed documentary style showcase concert entitled, “Time, Dreams, and the Changes Between” chronicling the experience of 6 graduating seniors in high school, as they worked towards creating a performance during the height of the pandemic (available to stream on YouTube). Since then, Ariana has continued to support aspiring and professional artists as a talent development associate alongside Gregg Baker Management. Ariana studied Vocal Performance with an Opera Emphasis with Patty Thom at The Boston Conservatory, where she sang roles in Cosi fan tutte (Despina), A Hand of Bridge (Geraldine), and Serse (Atalanta).

Ariana has a major interest in new works and has been involved with several developmental readings, workshops and productions including El Otro Oz (La Bruja/La Curandera) by Jaime Lozano, Tommy Newman, and Mando Alvarado - Forestburgh Playhouse; Dot Dot Dot: A New Musical (Teacher) by Keelay Gipson and Sam Salmond - TheaterWorksUSA; Love is Love is Love: The Musical (Viola) by Michelle Lee - 54 Below; A First Glimpse of Light by Anessa Marie - 54 Below; and Little Duende (Senora Patrona) by Robi Hager and Georgina Escobar.
Most recently, Ariana understudied the role of Mónica (*PERFORMED) and originated the ensemble role of Patty in BASURA: A New Musical at the Alliance Theatre in Atlanta, GA directed by Michael Greif.
