Virginia Rep has announced the 2024-2025 Season: an exciting line-up of musicals, plays, and special presentations at all three locations, including the Signature Season at the November Theatre downtown, the Barksdale Season at Hanover Tavern, and the Family Season in the Jessie Bogese Theatre at the Virginia Rep Center for Arts and Education. Partner productions in the Theatre Gym and additional community partnerships will be announced at a later time. 

It’s never too late to find love, and Gerry Turner is ready to prove it! The charming 71-year-old patriarch from Indiana is the network’s first Golden Bachelor, showcasing that love stories, like so many other things, only get better with age. Turner will begin handing out roses when “The Golden Bachelor” premieres this fall.

The Great Salt Lake Fringe Festival is back, and it begins in less than a month's time. This year's festival, from July 28 to Aug. 7, will be all in-person, with a total of two dozen shows in downtown Salt Lake City.

New York City Children’s Theater will expand its programming during its 25th Anniversary season in 2021-22 with a livestream MEET THE PARENTS series hosted by Broadway actress (and mom) ANIKA LARSEN. The series will be hosted on Zoom and will be a lively, informative discussion with other parents who also work in the theatre community.

This new, hour long show - NYCCT's Storyland Cabaret - kicks off NYCCT's 25th anniversary season, and will be comprised of musical numbers dating back to the company's beginnings in 1996 when it first produced work for family audiences under the name Making Books Sing at the Tony and Pulitzer Prize-winning Vineyard Theatre in Union Square.

Last month, Anika Larsen and Sammy Lopez collaborated with New York City Children's Theater to create a special recorded 'front porch' performance of the song 'Count on Me' by Bruno Mars for Kaleidoscope 2021 - a filmed celebration of their work.

Through a year of challenges, the award-winning New York City Children's Theater (NYCCT) happily announces its 24th season to premiere, a mix of live digital productions as well as filmed performances of NYCCT productions.

NYCCT recently launched a new online digital program for families called Creative Clubhouse. While most of the programming is available to all free of charge, they are offering essential workers as well as any family that has been deeply affected by this crisis to have free access to all paid content.

Abingdon Theatre Company will present a reading of Talk to Me, a new musical with book and lyrics by Charlie Sohne, music by Tim Rosser, music direction by Paul Staroba and direction by Joe Barros. Narrated in Woody Guthrie-style folk songs - accompanied by Bay Area music favorites Chris Haugen (guitar) and Trevor Marcom (vocals/guitar), the fact-inspired ensemble drama focuses on the search for truth behind a dark family legend vis-a-vis an ancestor and the women and children in his life.
